They also nearly ruined college football with their constant "targeting" calls. That problem was corrected before it destroyed the game. They are the WORST of any sport.
might as well have a bunch whistles going off randomly.
Fishing is very exciting when you get a big hit and see the line spooling off you reel.I was a rabid Celtics season ticket holder for 30 years and witnessed several championships. Now I can't stand to watch a minute of any NBA game. It's boring. Fishing is more exciting
If I knew how to insert a photo I'd show you a 7.5 pound bass I caught last week from my dockFishing is very exciting when you get a big hit and see the line spooling off you reel.
You're very lucky to have fishing so close at hand. I have about a 2 hr, drive down to the coast. I could fish the local rivers for bass and catfish but much prefer going after redfish and sea trout. A couple years ago they stocked a local river with giant rainbow trout and that was a blast but didn't last long as the water wasn't cold enough for them to survive very long.If I knew how to insert a photo I'd show you a 7.5 pound bass I caught last week from my dock
Some good eating there. Have you ever gone gigging for flounder? You walk along in shallow water at night with a lantern in one hand and a gig, multi-pronged spear, in the other, spearing flounder as you spot them. Flounder are very tasty and not oily like most fish. When I was at Miami and we had some time off from football and studies, we spent a lot of time fishing for bass in the canals off Alligator Alley and at night fishing for snook in the cuts. I dated a great girl from N. Miami Beach whose dad was a captain and he took us out in the ocean many times. Caught a tom of kings, dolphin and snapper as I remember
Never tried flounder spearing but they are very good to eatSome good eating there. Have you ever gone gigging for flounder? All this fishing talk has me itching to head to the coast now but it's too hot. It cools some in Oct. and Nov. and those are also the best months for fishing as the water cools and the fish become for active. Just have to wait. One species I forgot to mention are sheepshead or "concvict fish", so named because their teeth resemble those of sheep and they are silver with black stripes. They can be caught all year but are most active in March and April. They may be the tastiest of all as they taste somewhat like lobster and are often referred to as "poor mans lobster".Never tried flounder spearing but they are very good to eat
