I must have misread that our Miami Grad School has dropped entry requirements for acceptance! What standards are now required? If there are no entry standards , what is a Masters from Miami worth? I am reading that entry standards were bias against minorities? Is this all true?

They simply dropped GRE and GMAT testing for most grad programs. How you conclude that they now have "no entry standards" I have no idea. They eliminated a standardized test, which was one factor out of many that are considered for admission.

They have not indicated what their new entry standards are. I have read that it will be easier for minorities to be accepted in the Grad school due to no testing. Will this enhance the value of a Masters or PHd from Miami? Personally, I think it will not . This also looks like a money grab by the University.

My son just went through the meat grinder process of applying to med school. I can assure you that the requirements and competition are insanely difficult. There were 9000 applicants for 150 openings for the entering class at Miller.

As I mentioned, the Med School and the Law School still require testing.

They dropped a standardized test. That's it. They didn't drop all standards and they aren't revamping all standards. Are you under the impression that a GMAT or any other standardized test is the only standard for entry? If you are then you are wrong. If you aren't under that impression then stop spreading false information.

No, I am not spreading false information. Apparently your reading comprehension needs help. I have stated that testing was eliminated for entry requirements for our Grad School with the exception of our Law School and Med School. Those are facts. Check the news from the University.

All you need now is to be black or a minority and you get a pass... Don’t need to work for it anylonger...

I would hope not. It sends a bad message. I have a lot of highly successful minority friends that would object to the direction that this University is taking. Especially since they achieved their success in Grad School with entry requirements that were equal to their non minority school mates.
I lean more to this being a money grab by the University to open its doors to all that can pay. JMO

Miami is so woke they’re becoming racist. What would the color of your skin have to do with testing. The underlying theme is racist in and of itself.

There is one requirement. You have to speak fluent Ebonics.
