I arrived at the Fontainebleau around 6:30. Even though the uniforms will not be released to the public until 9pm-ish, I was taken to a room adjacent to Club Liv by a security guy I have known for quite a while. I was able to view the new uniforms for about 2 minutes before he whisked me away. Excuse spelling errors b/c I am on my tablet.
The good:
1) I like the way Miami is spelled out on the upper part of the jerseys just below the v-neck. The font and style is perfect.
2) Despite some ppl on here not liking the color in the "teaser" thread today, it is perfect. NOT Louisville red. NOT Klempsun orange. It is Miami coral !!
3) Pants no longer have a stripe or any design along the side. Solid white, solid green and solid coral.
4) The hurricane cyclone symbol on the shoulders looks nice.
The bad:
1) Players' names will no longer appear on the top of the back of the jerseys. It will be replaced by "ADIDAS". Players' names will now be in small print on the lower back of each helmet.
2) The "U" will be eliminated on ONE side of the helmet. We are going to have a Pittsburgh Steelers style helmet. On the right side of the helmet will be a "U". On the left side of the helmet will be "Adidas".
3) There is no option for white or black or orange cleats. We will be wearing one color shoe for the duration of the Adidas contract. It will be solid green.
4) The numbers on the jerseys now have a gloss-type finish. Shiny if you will. Not a matte-type finish any longer.
