The Anthony Grant saga is an example as to why I attmpt to avoid getting involved with replacing any of our Coaches. Remember the numerous number of Threads basically calling for Grant to replace Haitt? Grant is a great Coach! Agreat recruiter etc. and when he obtained the Alabama job, he would put the Alabama BB Team on the map. This is not to say Grant is not a good Coach. But he took a risk by leaving a good Mid Major BB HC job to take the Alabama position. But in the emd it did not work out.
Alabama is to date is merely an average BB Team. Can they defeat Miami tomorrow. The answer is yes. As the 'Canes never know what Team is going to show up. How do you explain bad Home losses to Wisconsin Green Bay and Eastern Kentucky and then go on to defeat Duke at Cameron. (Duke's only home loss) After 34 games, UM cannot say they are an inexperience team. they must come out focus and play a totally discipline game which should result in a victory over the 'Tide."
My guess the House will be virtually empty as preusual. The UM Student Body could care less about UM Athletics. This has always been the case as long as I can remember. Furthermore, if you go to an UM Baseball game. Who are the fans? Not the Students. But the locals who enjoy Baseball. Or the fans in attendance merely "Milk Shake" fans.
