I disagree with her politics but hope that she comes out of this ok without doing severe prison time. I don't trust Putin, and by most accounts, he has fallen off the ledge and is a total nutjob.

Have you lost your mind? Trump was the first American president to publicly demand NATO countries pay the 2% of their GDP to NATO's defense that was agreed upon when the alliance was first formed. And it worked.
Other American presidents had PRIVATELY demanded this and it hadn't worked. Most NATO countries were paying less than 1% of their GDP and therefore not living up to their commitments. Trump publicly called them out and it worked.
