"Fletcher also spoke about his Ohio State commitment, saying his bond with coaches there was a big reason along with “they showed they can take me to the next level. I’ve been living down here so long, it’s exciting to see something new and I just fell in love with it.”

"I've been living down here so long, it's exciting to SEE SOMETHING NEW!"

And if it's Mom/Grandma pushing that narrative, especially as it pertains to a crime-ridden environment, and kid is also associated with the "wrong" type of element....then, it's usually a wrap!

But...and here's the rub, save for them living in a town where the teams are perennially-viable playoff contenders...why don't we hear many/most of those top-rated kids from...(Alabama, Ohio, SC/NC, Georgia, Upstate Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, the entire SEC,) echoing that same sentiment etc....You never hear them say shit like, they want to "see something different"....and worse still, they all live in TOWNS SMALLER THAN THE LARGEST SETTLEMENT IN "DEADWOOD" Where a happening Friday/Saturday night, is for all the young townsfolk to head over to their local/neighborhood Walmart parking lot, where they drink cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon and fire-up the Meth-Pipe!.... Anyhoo, I surmise that once UM starts competing for the playoffs on an annual basis...then, THEN, all those kids/their parents will be ok with staying home and lose the longing for "SEEING SOMETHING NEW"....
