Her work on child porn cases is pretty bad tho giving leniency to every case she has ever had. And being an activist by not answering a simple what is a woman question was a bit odd.

It's seems to me you are either searching very hard to side with a party or omit an African American from Miami being qualified for the supreme court. Either of which is pretty embarrassing. Based on this post I am certain you are like Hershel Walker and don't even know what CRT is. That would be a reason I would want her there. We should be promoting CRT. Regarding child porn cases it it pretty hypocritical because your party went ahead and confirmed her to the lower court and now have an issue. I don't see you appearing to disown them now do you?

So we are supposed to congratulate people based on where they went to HS or their gender or color, rather than their accomplishments or talent ? ( if we can determine race , which is subjective and Gender which ain’t hard for most folks )

People that claim how proud they are of America but refuse to be proud of America when it comes to something that doesn't either involve them or people like them. See, America is the greatest democracy in the world. That democracy thrives on the premise that no matter what race or background you come from there is nothing that will stop you from achieving your dreams. You don't celebrate that. You celebrate the idea of what it has done for and can do only for people like yourself. That's it....and that's not a democracy.

She was picked because she was the most qualified person available for the job according to her resume. Any objective law scholar who commented on that agrees. She is on the board that promotes CRT and that is why she belongs in the seat.

Congratulations I am certain she worked her azz off to get where she is. No doubt about it BUT some of her rationalizing for weak sentencing was not good. I noticed no Democrat put forth any sentencing to show that OTHER cases were decided more harshly.
But she is now a Supreme Court Justice.

No, Black American kids dont need to be taught they are victims. They face it everyday, 24/7 365. Walking while black, jogging while black, driving while black, etc., etc., Blacks have had to endure years of oppression and indignation. Last but not least voting while black.

Its happening in our schools where certain books will be banned. In the state of Florida Gov DeSantis signed a bill to not teach grades K to 3rd grade on LGBT. Horrible idea. He is encourging young folks "its OK to discriminate. He is actually doing them a disservice because when these young people move on to JR High, HS , College and onto the work force how are they going to conduct themselves appropriately without jeopardizing the performances of their co workers and the progression of the companies they work for????!!!!
It's an amazing achievement from Miami Palmetto Senior High School all the way to the supreme court. Completely agree and it's a time to celebrate our democracy. Not look for divisions in it.
I just think it is a mistake to underestimate our children and treat them like they are too weak to handle the truth to promote discrimination. Having said that, the states and their elected officials just do what the people of that state allow. So be it. I think it is just sad. We are seeing that with a lot of states especially in the south. You are 100 correct it is just a horrible idea and done because people live their lives in fear like cowards. They just don't think our kids can handle reality and that's just so sad to me.

Biden specifically identified who he was going to pick—-(I’m pleased an African American female was selected—just not how) imagine Trump saying “I’m going to select a female Nordic nominee for a justice”.

You think because it wasn't announced to the general public this wasn't the case? Please don't say you do. Nobody is this naive. There hasn't been a black woman on this court in almost 2000 years dude. You gotta understand your history because this is significant if you understand the purpose behind the court....but not only learn it respect it. You say you are pleased an African American was selected...but then question how? How was it she was selected that was illegal? She was qualified. She was nominated by a sitting president. What about how she was nominated that bothers you so much yet you "claim" to be pleased. Can't have it both ways. If she is qualified. That's really all that matters....and she is qualified.

Although I'm no fan of DeSantis WHATSOEVER, I would have to say that not allowing LGBT teachings to kids K to 3rd, is actually a good idea IMO. I just don't think kids that young should be taught about alternative sexuality....their minds aren't ready for that just yet.
Now DeSantis does and says a lot of dumb shyt, but this one I can't hold against him.
But yes....CONGRATS to Ketanji, I'm very proud of the sister for reaching this milestone and making history. Much deserved and long over due!!!!
