Several prospects visited Miami from near and far on Tuesday. Here's a rundown of the players that entered in and out of the facility.

DJ Pickett spent three days in Miami, touring the facility and getting acquainted with new DB coach Chevis Jackson. Miami seems like they will definitely be in this race to the very end. The fact that Booker Pickett is a signee and was with him while he was on campus is certainly a positive sign. LSU seems like the other team to watch the most here, but Miami is in a great spot.

Talented offensive lineman Cortez Smith continues to be impressed with Miami. This seems like a Georgia/Miami battle. Georgia may have the edge with proximity. Miami seems to check every other box for him.

Miami still prioritizes Byron Louis, but the local back will continue to experience the recruiting process fully. The issue here is that Miami is also looking at other running backs and is looking to confirm which back will indeed be the back to pair with Girard Pringle. Miami is looking to confirm that spot sooner rather than later.

Players from afar

Plenty of players came great distances to visit Miami this weekend.

Iose Epenesa, who has an official visit set with Miami, said he doesn't know if Miami checked any boxes for him during the visit. He is still very open with his process, but the possibility of being coached by Jason Taylor could be a factor down the line. He will likely make a commitment in the latter part of the football season with Missouri, Illinois, Oregon, Michigan, Iowa, and Texas all in the mix.

Jaden Wilkerson is an impressive-looking, under-the-radar prospect who said the recruitment from Miami is heavy, and Cristobal is expressing that they want him. Miami, Syracuse, and UCF are the unofficial top three for Wilkerson. Maryland will also get an unofficial visit.

Justin Hill likes the small campus feel of Miami and said the communication is constant. and called Jason Taylor the GOAT when it comes to the edge position. He called Miami "genuine" in their recruiting approach. Ohio State, USC, Oregon, Alabama, Penn State, and Miami are the schools recruiting Hill at a high level.

Story coming soon.

Eric Winters mentioned that Miami, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee are doing a good job in recruiting him. Winters wants to make a return visit to Miami as well, as Georgia and Auburn. He described Miami's staff as people he would like to be around to help develop him.

Cameron White liked the energy from Miami coach Derek Nicholson. UCF, Louisville, Syracuse, Utah, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, are the other schools in the mix. White may return for Miami's spring game and is looking to lock down an official visit with Miami. Has officials with Louisville and UCF.

Aidan Anding (Pictured on front page) really enjoyed the coaching staff and bonded with DBs Coach Chevis Jackson. Arkansas, TCU, Houston, Baylor are in the mix for Anding. Miami and Arkansas are the leaders.

Miami talked about how Currie could get an early opportunity at Miami. The super-fast DB has an official visit in June in the works with Miami. Texas A&M, Washington, and Nebraska are doing well in recruiting the West Coast talent.

Miami Derry Norris Jr. continues bond with defensive line coaches Jason Taylor and Joe Salave'a. The appeal of being coached under Taylor could be a difference here. Official visit is locked in for June 7th. Georgia Tech, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, NC State and Purdue. UF and Purdue will receive unofficial visits from Norris.

Prospects Jahkeem Stewart, Noah Grubbs, Chance Routson, Alvin Henderson (who was in all Miami apparel), JJ Sparks, Mark Manfred, Kolbe Harmon, Carson Lawrence were also spotted on campus Saturday.

Local players return to Miami

Bryce Fitzgerald makes another return visit to Miami. He met new DBs coach Chevis Jackson in person at Miami for the first time. The local athlete could be a safety or corner for Miami. He is looking to make a decision after all of his official visits. Miami remains in an excellent spot for the local athlete.

Story coming soon

Local DB Chris Ewald was back on campus Saturday to view the scrimmage.

On Saturday, Miami also had several signees on campus - Juan Minaya, Booker Pickett, Ryan Mack, Chance Robinson, and OJ Frederique.
