Large investment firms that deal with real estate like Blackrock are buying up single family homes at 20 percent over asking price all over the country. They aim to take home ownership away from the average American and rent these homes ,having inflated the prices too high for families to buy. The Biden administration is pushing this as part of their great reset. it should worry any one Democrat or Republican.

Millennials prefer to rent over purchasing, or so I thought I read somewhere, which may be driving such demand.

The public records for recent home sales in my area don’t indicate firms, only individuals, as buyers. Many states allow you to access these records for free online, although they lag by a few months.

All have ties to the Democrat Party. "The People Party."

Private Equity does nothing unless their investment provides great margins and ultimately great multiples at the time selling the investment. Probably a five year plan however I have seen investments go out 10 years with family run PE firms.
If they are advertising their social wokeness by investing this way it just a smokescreen to get the return they advertised to their investors at sale.
At first glance, the danger I see is new ghettos being developed as a result.

It seems like the only goal is to kill the American dream. And, it's working.
When it comes to Private Equity, the only goal is to make money on their investment then sell it for a multiple of their EBITDA. If the properties were acquired inexpensively enough and sold at a number of turns higher, they and their investors do well. It's just business.
