My 15 year old daughter came down with Covid 2 weeks ago with symptoms so we had her tested.. She was positive and was told to hibernate for 2 weeks with fever 10 days without.
Her only symptoms where no smell & taste so with that being said I didnt want her to feel like a leopard so I kept everything normal. We ate together watched movies together we even wrestle which I am still the home champ..

I was vaccinated long ago so I was not worried about contracting covid.

So from personal experience if you have been vaccinated take off ur mask go outside & and enjoy ur lives YOU WILL BE FINE..!!!

Thank u DJT for the vaccine...!!!!

LMAO. Unfortunately, that's not how it works. You can still get COVID if you've been vaccinated, not have symptoms (because the vaccine is working), but still walk around maskless and transmit your COVID to others who may not be vaccinated - or even worse, aren't vaccinated and think masks don't work.

Still buying into the bullshit...

It’s “leper” not “leopard.”

Couldn’t disagree more with your strategy. That said, I hope your daughter recovers quickly and that her sense of smell and taste returns.

At this point there is no excuse for not being vaccinated if you want one and live in the US.
So you’re saying we have to wear these silly masks until every person in the US or world is vaccinated???

The curve is about the same for all states despite varying degrees of mask mandates. If masks did something special you would see a correlation. Here in Idaho we never had a mask mandate and the state is about to pass a law prohibiting mask mandates. Kids go to school, everything is open, we are no worse for it. This mass hysteria has always been nonsense. This effects the elderly...kinda like everything does....that's how old people usually pass on. So protect skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, old people should take extra precautions if they choose, but the rest of us are fine. Always have been.

The average age of a person who dies of COVID is greater then the life expectancy in the US.

This is the breakdown of deaths by age group:

85 and up: 30.79%
75 - 84: 27.78%
65-74: 21.99%
50-64: 15.07%
40-49: 2.90%
30-39: 1.07%
18-29: 0.36%
0-17: 0.05%
40-49: 2.90%
30-39: 1.07%
18-29: 0.36%
0-17: 0.05%

The biggest eye opener to me has been the young people and the helicopter parents. Young people donning their masks as if it's a red bandanna, and parents parading their toddlers around with masks on. I had no idea their would be such conformity with this thing. Very disheartening and doesn't bode well moving forward...

This is the rough distribution of cases.

O-17: 12%
18-29: 22.4%
30-39: 16.4%
40-49: 14.9%
50-64: 20.4%
65-74: 7.6%
75-84: 3.9%
85+: 2.3%

So look at the distribution of cases compared to deaths. The older folks (65 and older) consists of 13.8% of all COVID cases in the US but account for 80.5% of the deaths. Conversely the under 50 crowd consists of 65.7% of COVID cases but represent only 4.4% of the deaths.

Yeah, its shockingly easy to control the masses, especially when they are uninformed, sheep like and scared.

So then the vaccine doesn't work? You fool

C'mon Cash....you're smarter than this.

You can have COVID but be asymptomatic (example: young people) but still pass your COVID on to people you come in contact with (such as old people or people with co-morbdities) who could then easily get sick or die.

The vaccine cannot prevent you from acquiring COVID, it can only develop antibodies so that if you do get COVID, YOU don't get sick. That doesn't mean you can't transmit it to others.

That's why its smart to wear a mask in populated areas until cases are down below 10k a day nationally.

But how do you pass it if you’re asymptomatic?

Ur wrong again..!!! keep spewing BS ... Youre a champ at it....

You don’t need mask after vaccine... Data show it..!!!

By the way there is a new study that shows whether ur 3’,6’ or 60 feet wearing a mask and u can still get it...

Harvard School Of Medicine... So keep hiding under ur bed..🤡🤡🤡🤡

You're not wearing a mask for just yourself, you're wearing it for people you come in contact with. Since you seem to understand simple concepts well, think of a mask as a condom that protects both parties from STDs.

But how do you pass it if you’re asymptomatic?
Because you are asymptomatic due to either being young and healthy or you've previously taken the vaccine. Therefore it doesn't make you sick, but you still have the virus in you and can therefore pass it on just as a sick person can.

You can still get struck by lightning if it’s raining or you can slip and fall in the bathtub also but I bet you still walk in the rain and I hope you bath

You’re still not answering my question. The virus is carried in your mucus and saliva. Therefore if you’re asymptomatic im trying to understand how that can take place.

The asymptomatic part has nothing to do with how the virus is transmitted, it has to do with whether someone has been vaccinated or is in a low risk category (like healthy young people).

There are literally tens of thousand of asymptomatic people. If you’re not coughing or snoting all over the place how do you spread the virus?

The same way nearly 33 million Americans got the virus over the past 14 months, by coming into close proximity with people who had the virus, a large portion of those who transmitted it were asymptotic.

Raoul,

You are a patient guy trying to use data and science to convince the “anti maskers” that their behavior is personally dangerous and publicly inconsiderate of the health of others. The fact that vaccinated people can still contract the disease and that asymptomatic people can still spread the disease are concepts that conflict with the reigning political narrative of the Right.

Its a losing battle. For them, masks have been elevated by the RWM (right wing media) into some kind of emblem of “freedom” rather than a part of prudent public health. Trump mocked the wimps who wore masks. He promptly got Covid and turned the White House into a center of infected people, eg Rudy, Christy, Hope Hicks, Melania etc etc No matter, no mask = freedom (even a constitutional right!) persisted.

It persists still.

Unfortunately, we're seeing the long term effects of gaslighting and constant, daily misinformation. Ultimately, right wingers are still rational actors with the capacity to process and apply factual information in their lives. If they weren't rational, then none of them would've gotten vaccinated, when in fact most of them have taken the vaccine.

What do you have to back that assertion up? So just breathing while not coughing or wiping snot on surfaces will spread the virus from a healthy asymptomatic person to another subject?

Whether a person is asymptomatic or not has no bearing on how the virus is transmitted. Below is the CDC guidance, which reports you can pick up COVID respiratory droplets by merely being close to someone while they are talking (this is why masks are important because they impede infected people from spreading their droplets and likewise impede those standing nearby from inhaling them).

CDC Guidance:

COVID-19 is primarily transmitted from person-to-person through respiratory droplets. These droplets are released when someone with COVID-19 sneezes, coughs, or talks. Infectious droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Respiratory droplets can land on hands, objects or surfaces around the person when they cough or talk, and people can then become infected with COVID-19 from touching hands, objects or surfaces with droplets and then touching their eyes, nose, or mouth. Recent data suggest that there can be transmission of COVID-19 through droplets of those with mild symptoms or those who do not feel ill.

loony Lou and the other loons were just taken to task about wearing masks outdoors. We’ve been saying to follow the science all along, but they need their Democratic masters to tell them directly.

Considering the CDC has flip flopped on se topics here recently I’m having a very difficult time trusting their information. You know like the whole mask wearing after shot thingy???

You still haven’t explain how the virus is transmitted by asymptomatic people.

I've explained it above, repeatedly. The information is right before you in broad daylight.

Also, the CDC are the experts, so burying your head in the sand just because you don't like what they are saying, doesn't advance your argument.
