Final Update from my cell:
After getting embarrassed 2 games in a row, our baseball team showed some real mettle bouncing back to win Game 3, 8-5.
After VT scored again with the outs, we trailed 1-0 after 1 inning, but we played a pair of runs in the 3rd with 2 outs thanks to a Maxwell Romero double to lead 2-1.
With 2 outs inthe 5th, Romero singled in his 3rd run of the game to up our lead to 3-1. Later in that inning, Dom Pitelli slapped a bases loaded double down the RF line to clear the bases and increase our lead to 5-1.
In the 7th, again with 2 outs, Jacob Burke slugged a solo HR to left to give a 7-1 lead.
But that didn’t last long. In the bottom of the 7th the Hokies loaded the bases and got a grand slam from their hottest hitter of the series, Schobel , who had 5 RBIs in game Game 1 on 2 HRs.
That cut our lead to 7-5 heading to the 8th.
Then it was Walters’ Time as closer Andrew came to mound. He kept VT scoreless the last 2 innings to secure the W. In between, Kayfus hit a solo HR to LF to make the final score, 8-5.
Final Line Score:
UM. 8 runs, 10 hits, 0 errors, 5 LOB
VT. 5 runs, 7 hits, 1 error, 7 LOB
So, we salvage a W and move on to next week still leading the Coastal Division.
Happy Easter/Passover, Caniacs!
It’s great to be…
Go Canes!

Hello, Caniacs...
I cannot cover today's game so can someone please provide scoring updates? In advance
After being outscored 25-7 and giving up 16 hits in Games 1 & 2...our Canes will try and salvage at least
one game before heading home. For only the second time this year UM lost back-to-back games (also UF).
Here's a killer stat from Game 2: Of the 13 runs VT scored, 10 came with 2 outs.
I assume Alejandro Rosario starts on the mound.
There is NO ONLINE TV for this game so U have 2 options below to follow, besides this thread:
1. Listen to WVUM which I did last night. Waaay better than the VT radio announcer.
2. Follow Live Stats

How to Watch Online: NO ONLINE TV

Let's hope we have something to smile about by afternoon's end. Have a great holiday weekend.
