Shalala back at UM teaching

Seriously, why bring her old ass back down there? Just thinking about her gives me the hebby gebbys. Evil Troll! I thought the cloud was gone!

Why bring her back??? Because she has accomplished more in one hour of her life than you have done in a lifetime!! Man some of you are so narrow minded. If my son went to UM and had a chance to have a class from a former president of the school, chancellor of another major school, was a former cabinet member (secretary of health & human services), on board of Lennar, head of Clinton Foundation, I think it would be an honor.

But some of you simpelton's rip on her because the football program was not so good while she was president. Ridiculous!!!

Isn't she 76? Damn I just hope not to piss myself why on Canesport at that age.
There was an 80 year, a 90 year old, and a 100 year old in a nursing home. They were talking one day when the 80 year old said, " Every morning I wake up, I get out of bed and I take a nice pee, I only wish that I could poop." The 90 year old says, "Every morning I wake up, I get out of bed and I take a nice poop, I only wish that I could pee." The 100 year old looks at them both and says, "Every morning I wake up and I take a nice poop and a nice pee, I only wish that I could get out of bed."

Tell me what she did in a hour? She
Brought the school 2 Billion in cash. Her old ass can do nothing at this point. You send your kids to listen to her, I'd tell mine to pick another class. She also took pictures with the crook who put the school through the biggest scandal ever. Holding a check mind you. I never understand why people defend this woman. Have you ever meet her?

She is not going to second guess decisions and there is no risk to Frenk from having her teach.

She was a good president for the university, but a crappy president for the football program.

Still wish people would have the consideration to leave their personal political bullsh*t off the board.

Head of the clinton foundation.....I can see why she is back

Best class I ever took at UM. 150 person auditorium and you could hear a pin drop, she had total control of the room. Her stories were great, made a complicated subject like health care very relatable

Mehh was an OK class. Some Good stories at times and students respected her. At least she did not put her religious agenda on there and start talking about that scam called Jesus Christ. But I agree to much Obama & Clinton bs.

You think Dr Frenk is some conservative? That's funny .
Any Alumni of the U should hold her in high esteem. I do. And I'm a conservative.
She didn't impose her politics as President.
In fact she got a lot of liberal families to donate millions of $ to the U.
If she is here in the fall I'm sure she'll be at all the games. Unlike prior U presidents that I have known, she's actually a huge fan

Your pissing yourself on Canesport is directly influenced by the amount you drink. I'm 64 and Ben soggy off and on for years.

Her connections to movers and shakers is worth the price of admission. The right wing nut jobs don't want to recognize she made us number 1 in academics in state and 44 in country.

All people care about on this board is football. I guess it's their right since it's CaneSport, but true Cane alums appreciate her for what she did on campus, and how our degrees are worth significantly more because of it.

UF has 5 times resources we have. And she beat it where it counts most dimwit.

I do not like Donna. I don't try to hide my bias.

There is a huge problem in our country with our higher education model. There is no balance, at all, in ideology at the college level. College has become a liberal boot camp. It was always left leaning, but it has become staggering. If my children, who are not yet college aged, came to me and asked for help deciding on a college to attend where they could be part of a moderate or conservative leaning student body I'm not sure I could point them in the right direction.

AJ always refers to liberalism as a disease and I tend to agree, but I also think that the beauty of our country is that people have the freedom to hold on to whatever beliefs they have. Bringing more die hard liberals into academia is not a positive. Not allowing non liberal speakers at Universities is not a good thing, regardless of your beliefs.

First, many world leaders are well into their 70s. Second, not everyone in their mid-70s piss on themselves. Third, Shalala is a former Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, as well as University President, which is far, far more than most on this board will ever accomplish. Fifth, while she was President, the U became widely acknowledged as a top 50 national university, which all with a UM degree should really appreciate. Sixth, her focus on turning UM into a health and life sciences leader has paid off very well for UM, making it possible through annual grant and research money to compete with universities with far, far greater endowments. Seventh, she raised a ton of money for necessary improvements at UM while she was President. Finally, when not too long ago the national media were crying for severe punishment to the UM football and basketball programs, she was instrumental in having those penalties greatly reduced,

You may not like her politics, and you may not like her two choices as Head Coach at UM, but she is far more than those two things and yes, she probably has a lot to teach to UM students.

She brought in $2 billion dollars to the school. How much did you bring in?? So you average it out and she did more in an hour than you have in a lifetime.

Take a picture with a crook?? She posed for simple PR photoshoot for a donation. Something she has probably done thousands of times. Are you sure you have never posed in a photo with someone Whois a criminal??! Or better yet? Will be a criminal 2 years after you take that photo, because at the time, no one knew he was dealing in illegal activities.

By the way, you plainly forget how hard she fought the NCAA on the investigation and the new Hecht Center, practice fields, medical building on Campus next to football field, new state of the art locker rooms, training table, etc who do you think helped raise that money??? Who do you think raised the stature of our medical program?? Law school?? Who do you think raised our ranking as top school in Florida for several years when before she got here we were behind FSU & UF.

Again, some of you are so naive and small minded and don't see the big picture.

Intellectuals who teach at universities and colleges lean left because anyone who thinks is for truth and justice. Those on right tend to be more emotional and reactive. The opposite of analytical and intelligent. We value education, science and taking care of people and the environment. Conservatives controlled by more primitive emotions let fear and greed and snowflake reactions (hypersensitivity) control their lives.
We are open minded, less biased, smarter, better educated and generally happier. #facts are important to us. Not dogmatic beliefs. Hence why we shake our heads at the ignorati who spread fake news. Even at right wing conservative Liberty University the students reject Trumpism. So there is hope. Always.

She's teaching , How to Ruin a Division Football Program 101.

You left out
History of football program destroying
Theory of football program destroying
Fundamentals of football program destroying and honers athletic dept destroying. She's very well versed in this category. Not many ppl can do what she did.
