It's a great time of the year where optimism is at its highest. Excited to see how this team performs and believe they will be much better than last year. Here is my attempt at why it will be different than the last 10 years...and at least as good as 05, 09 and 13, the last 3 times we were 9-3, as sad as that is:
1. Best QB since Dorsey (not even close) in a QB dominated football time period
2. Better depth (OL is the only ?, other years has been 2 or 3 positions)
3. Consistent talent at all positions (16 starters are 4/5 stars) - not sure we have had that in a long time
4. Team first attitude...entitlement society requires more focus on team than ever before...if nothing else, maybe it helps the team avoid the tank if they lose a few tough games
5. Balance on offense and defense... we should be able to run and pass...defend the run and pass
6. Coach who knows it is win or out (has to leave it on the field)
