Something Truly Special About What LeBron Has Accomplished...

Someone can be great while at the same time being a douche.
You're right but put some respek on that man's name dawg....he ain't in trouble with the law and does more in the community and speak out about social injustice than damn near the rest of the league combined...100 (that's on top of being the best player in the world)

Lebron is not leaving Cleveland again. This guy knows about legacy and knows that leaving Cleveland would absolutely destroy his image and everything he just did. No reason to leave anyhow. He will get paid. He has a great young point guard. He has great talent around him. He has zero pressure any more after getting them over the hump. He retires a Cav.

Exactly, Lebron had one more thing to accomplish in his career and that was to bring a championship to Northeast Ohio. Everything else is icing on his rather large cake.

That being said .. does Lebron STAY in Cleveland or does he move on to LA?

Lebron lost my respect when he said on national television, that he is the best player in the world. To me that was uncalled for, Irvin has done more in this series than he has. Like Michael Jordan said, I have the best teams.
well he spoke the gotdamn truth...at least he didn't lie haha Let that man live and respect greatness! If you lost respect over that, you probably never f^k'd with him at all and you must not have been a cane's fan in the 80's cause that was basically the attitude of the entire team..

He stays in Cleveland. He got his rings, family , home and hand picked coach with his inner circle Akron city boys. He good. Look Cleveland is not a destination city for a young NBA'r, but its home to LBJ. His wife Savannah has friends and family there. He left because D wade said hey come on down, plus bring a brinks truck cause we got 100 million for you. he was never going to get a ring in Cleveland, nobody (NBA talent) would go there. He didn't say I love Miami, love the coach, love the weather he wanted to win championships, accomplished , last task on his bucket list win one for Northeast Ohio.

We can agree to disagree. I find him to be a self promoting douche.

No one would ever question Lebrons legacy of greatness had he just stayed in Cleveland and won a title without taking the easy way out and going to Miami, and yes he would've eventually got a title in Cleveland anyway. No way in hell would've Magic, Jordan, or Bird ever even considered doing something like that, and I say those three because those are the guys he always compares himself too. Jordan said it best when he said "I always wanted to beat those guys, not play with them" let's not forget that LeBron wasn't 100% set on coming back until it was guaranteed they were going all in for Kevin Love. I will never take anything away from him as far as his ability or greatness because he is an all time great, but his legacy will always be scarred because he chose to take the easy way out to get his titles. That's why he will never be mentioned ahead of Bird, Magic or Jordan. JMO.

I don't care much about how any of them whine and flop but they all do it. Not just lebron. Hell Curry whines all the time. Whipped his mouth piece in the crowd and nobody says a word. Had lebron done that he would be lebitch. It's a terrible double standard with this guy. Tim Duncan is horrible...but let lebron complain? Lol.

They do it because as annoying as it is for us fans, it works. The league allows it.

Different era. Guys weren't being traded around or move as FA's like they are now. Loyalty is out the window for the $$.

The story about LeBron, Miami and Cleveland is known but there is more than one story line. LeBron did not appreciate that Mickey Arison would not go into the luxury tax to add players to the team and keep players. LeBron knew that Miami needed an outside threat and wanted Mike Miller retained, Arison saved money and said goodbye to Miller and with that LeBron started to say goodbye to the Heat. On the other hand Dan Gilbert is paying around $30 million in luxury tax for the Cavaliers.

LeBron has no loved lost for Pat Riley and didn't like playing for him and probably is passing that message around the league to this day.

LeBron knew the way he left Northeast Ohio, his home, was wrong and it bothered him. Also in the back of his mind is that one day he might want to run for political office and he had to correct the "taking my talents" speech made four years earlier. I believe he was sincere in letter wanting to go home and I believe he truly liked being in Miami and the way fans here treated him but, he is not coming back.

LeBron leaving Cleveland had nothing to do with money, they would've given him the entire city if he wanted it. In fact he took less in Miami, he left to win an easy championship period!!!! And as far as loyalty being out the window, I guess someone forgot to tell Kobe, Tim Duncan, and Dwayne Wade.

I'm talking about the other guys. Money is the biggest reason for most players today.

Why can't he do what he wants? That's what i am missing. Why does he need to manage his career like Magic or Jordan? It is not a communist country. He should be free to do what he percieves is best for him...not me or any of us. It isn't right if you ask me. He earned that. None of those players accomplished a damn thing without great teammates. If lebron felt Cleveland wasn't doind what it takes to win of course you gtfooh. Why sit around and play for a loser. Make a commitment like the other franchises do for their stars or it is time to bounce.

LeBron was atop every single category in da finals...first time dat has eva been done...he deserved MVP an every good thing dat has been said about him....& by da way, he is da best player in da world by far
He isnt my favorite player but this is all true. It is what it is.

I'm not disrespecting him at all but in my opinion, he took the easy way out period!!!! My point was that his first title would have went down in history as one of the greatest accomplishments in sports history had he done it in Cleveland. But he chose the easier route and went to Miami and played for a completely stacked team. And by the way, he's not the greatest of the great and never will be.

Your response makes no sense, I live in Ohio and trust me when I tell you, Cleveland was giving him everything he wanted and more. LeBron James runs the Cleveland Cavaliers, no move as far as players or coaches is made in that organization without going through him first, period. Their rosters the first time he was in Cleveland were pretty much hand picked by him, I am by no means disrespecting him or denying his talent and ability but the facts are the facts. He took the easy road to his first title and that will be what always separates him from the all time greats.

I agree.....Bron is at the top and he has no peers. But we do have to laugh because for more than 100+ games and more than a year Curry was universally known as the best with very little debate....Lebron said so himself. All it took was one game and now Bron has retaken the throne. Has that ever happened in sports?

As we sit here today....yes, that is the sentiment. But before the series started 99.999% of the country was hailing Curry as the best. My point being, all it took was one game to change a perception that was built over two seasons worth of play.
