Dorsett lead the nation in yds./reception and he stretched the field like no body's business. No WR on our current roster will replace what Dorsett did for us last season. There is talent with the top 5, however, and it would not be surprising if one or two exploded and had an outstanding season. The problem is is that no WR on the roster has been consistently good yet. My candidates for an outstanding season would be Waters and Scott. I don't think anyone will have a first round type season. The returning WRs were very reliable in catching the ball last season. They only dropped 6 easy-to-catch passes all season-an extremely low number.

Coley-After a sensational Freshman season, his effectiveness nosed-dived in his sophomore year. I do not think that a lack of dedication or having a bad attitude was the primary cause of his regression. I think it was physical problem. As a Freshman, he made sharp cuts with electric quickness in the open field. As a Sophomore, he weaved through traffic. As a Freshman, he broke ankles. As a Sophomore, he didn't. This was most apparent in his kickoff and punt returns. If his former quickness and agility doesn't return we will never see the Freshman Coley at Miami again. His play in the Spring game suggested that he had not yet returned to form. Even if he doesn't recover his former ability, he is still very talented and can be very effective. But, he needs to be removed from the return team and look for someone else for bubble screens and reverses.

Scott-He has a lot of talent. He could be an outstanding all round receiver. he needs to be more determined and injury free.

Waters-Another very talented WR. He has been very good at YAC production. I think with more opportunity he will flourish.

Lewis-I don't think he has ever fully recovered from his terrible injury. I don't have high expectations for him.

Berrios-His best quality was supposed to be his quickness and the separation he got coming out of his break. I did not see it. Last year, he got separation only 36% of the time. By far the worst percentage in the last 7 years. His YAC, not surprisingly, was the worst on the team-a paltry 2.3 yds./reception. Reportedly, he played with injury last year and he has lost some weight, so maybe he will play much better.

Jones-Has been buried on the depth chart. I don't see that changing unless there are injuries.

Brady-Got a little bit of playing time. Did nothing note worthy. I think he is on the slow side and doesn't have the talent and skill to over come it.

Langham-Tall and much too slow. I will be shocked if he ever becomes a factor at WR.

Cager-Supposedly a great athlete. I did not see it in his highlights which struck me as languid. I don't see him getting snaps at WR this year.
