There are 3 games left of a pretty crazy season. My takes below;
1) The bad and ugly have to be the 3 losses against inferior teams UNC, Va Tech, Ga Tech. All 3 we should have won especially the 2 at home. A real shame.
2) Can't talk bad and ugly without mentioning place kicking but maybe this kid Price changes that down the stretch.
3) The bad and ugly have to include our initial inability to come out ready to play the first 4-5 games but last 3 games this has changed
4) The Good and Positive ( and I see many) is that this team has shown a resilience. They have not quit and have really started to play as a team
5) Coaching gaffes have been reduced in my mind on defense and offense. On offense I see a lot less head scratching play calls from Enos
6) O-Line has certainly improved and I tip my hat to Coach Barry. Nobody could deny this. This unit playing this year and the guys not starting are all coming back next year and you can't replace this experience they are getting this season.
7) Where I knocked LB play they have started to really come on.
8) QB play both JW and Perry better this year. Again this is invaluable experience on the field for future seasons.
9) Robert Knowles. This kid has been slammed and hassled for years. Now he is the most experienced player on defense and seems to be making plays every game. Kudos to him.
10) Manny Diaz seems to be following thru on his goal of changing the mind set of these players. Hasn't wavered from that goal and I think it's showing up on the field. Not perfect but much better.
