Personally I think Ken Dorsey is gonna be a star. But just bc an NFL team is considering hiring you to be a coordinator doesn’t mean you’re a good coordinator. They make a ton of terrible hires. Heck Coker hired a former nfl OC and he was a disaster here and LSU last year hired a very well regarded pro oc and he was disaster. The game may be at the highest level. But they make a lot of terrible hires AND some great ones too. But if your entire argument is such and such is under consideration for a pro oc job so it’s silly to say they are qualified for a college job…. It’s a lousy argument. Calling plays is a different gig than just coordinating. You may prove to be amazing at it but it’s a very large risk to hire someone who has never done it before. For thr NFL, for Miami, for anyone. Doesn’t mean it will not work of course.
The NFL hires a lot of mediocre coaches…
