Folks, this is a bad Georgia Tech team. I honestly think Georgia Tech is as bad as CMU, maybe worse. I've seen GT's games against Clemson, Duke this past Saturday, and the 2nd Half of the Citadel when they were upset AT HOME. I hadn't even realized they lost to Temple 24-2 (albeit Temple is #24 5-1 now), and barely got by a USF 14-10 with Charlie Strong on the hot seat in Tampa.

Georgia Tech's offense ranks 123rd in Points Per Game (16.5 PPG), 115th in 3rd Down Conversion % (.329), and 105th in Offensive Efficiency (-.44). The U is 65th (29.5 PPG), 125th (.277), and 48th (.48) in those same 3 categories. At first, it may seem like this game will be a snoozefest featuring two wholly inept offenses, and that may be accurate to a large extent. But our Offense is slightly trending upward at the moment. Kosi has 5 TDs and 0 INTs in the last 8 Quarters. And although we are averaging about the same yards per play with Kosi playing in the last 2 Games as JW did the first 4-5 games (6.22 YPP v. 6.25 YPP), the offense is obviously having more impact plays.

I expect our Defense to hold Georgia Tech to between 10 and 17 points, and I expect Kosi to continue looking well in our offense, and maybe, just maybe, Enos will finally adjust the offense to a more shotgun/spread passing attack with Kosi starting, and working the Wildcat/Zone Read/HB Draw off of it with DeeJay/Cam. GT has given up 27 to the Citadel, 38 to UNC- AT HOME. 41 to Duke, @ Duke which is effectively a neutral cite on Tobacco Road. GT is 105th in Scoring Defense (32 PPG), 112th in Defensive 3rd Down % (.448), and 84th in Defensive Efficiency (-.48). GT is also ranked 105th in Sacks (1.50 SPG), so NO EXCUSES in getting the passing game going. GT plays a lot of soft zone, and does not blitz a lot. Kosi needs to LET IT RIP and lead this offense to a substantial scoring output. But, alas, how many times have we already said that...?

Overall, I see us starting sluggish on offense, contrary to the Virginia game. First I think we get a FG somewhere in the First Quarter and lead 3-0. I think GT gets a fluke TD somewhere in the 2nd Quarter- maybe a Punt Return TD or Pick-6 somewhere for a TD, but the offensive opens up and Kosi leads a good scoring drive to retake the lead 10-7; we add another FG before Halftime to lead at the Half 13-7. I think that the 3rd Quarter starts MUCH better for our Offense than the 1st Quarter, and Kosi leads a TD drive on our first 3rd Quarter drive to extend the lead to 20-7. GT gets a big offensive play in the 3rd Quarter, but our Defense holds them to a FG, and after 3 Quarters, we lead 20-10. 4th Quarter, the teams exchange TDs, and after GT's offense struggles pressing late, we add a 3rd FG in the game with our new kicker, and seal the game 30-17. Not a "blowout" win, but a double-digit, fairly comfortable win.
