First I want to ask. Where are all of you that think special teams isn't as important as offense and defense?
I think a lot of our issues can be easily fixed. The main issue we are having is mental toughness. This team doesn't understand what it takes to be a Cane. Also, how to win games. I respect they don't quit like teams of the recent past....but a lot of these guys are going to be special down the road. Right now they just aren't ready for prime time.
On defense? We are giving up way too many big plays on the back end.
On offense? Same old story with a new cast of characters. We just aren't capable of giving our guys times to make big plays in the air.
Special teams? I tried to tell you guys this Dude should just be used for kick offs. I got lame ass excuses like " everyone has the same problem across college football" or my favorite "There is nobody else that can do this job"...smfh.
I don't want to kill a college kid just trying to pay for his school but this kid shits his pants. I have been saying this awhile now and the kicks he is missing, you could find someone literally almost anywhere on campus to make. I bet you could find someone on the womens soccer team that could make them. We just can't go on like this.
