So the
NFL
wants to put the name of a rapist on their helmets. Enough is enough. Since you want to mix politics with sports, let's talk some truth.
In 2019, police had 375 millon interactions with citizens. Nine times an unarmed black man was shot. That means, this only happened 0.0000024% of the time. I guarantee that every year the percentage of that happening is about the same. The truth is, not only are these occurances extremely rare, but in the vast majority of cases, the people being shot are CRIMINALS who are ASSAULTING POLICE and/or RESISTING ARREST/NOT FOLLOWING ORDERS. So these NFL players, who obviously don't want to know the facts, are protesting something that happens less than 99.99% of the time and they are calling it racism. First of all, I would like to know how many of them risk their lives on a daily basis to protect people. Second, what in this world is perfect? Do they really expect any human being, in any profession, to be better than 99.99% successful at their job, much less any entire group of people in a profession? Hey Drew Brees, how many interceptions did you throw last year?
But let's go a little bit further. We know for a fact that the percentage of NFL players that have committed crimes, including but not limited to, domestic volence, use of drugs, DUI, assault, is far, far higher than the percentage of police who has (most of the time justifiably) shot unarmed black people (whites get shot twice as much and cops get shot by criminals 18 times as much, but remember, Blue Lives and All Lives don't matter). Why are we watching a football league that employs such a high percentage of law breakers (the arrest rate in the NFL is between 2 and 4% per year, immensely higher than the rate police shoot unarmed criminals)? Not only that, but those players get paid millions of dollars to play football. A league that upholds criminals is going to lecture us on morality while they pay law breakers far, far more than police? If the police are so horrible for messing up 0.0000024% of the time, then NFL players are far worse for intentionally committing crimes at a far higher rate. Therefore, the real hashtag should be #DefundtheNFL a league that makes criminals millionaires and supports rapists, as you can see in the picture. We should be taking a knee when NFL players take the field because instead of protesting the pedophilia going on in hollywood, child trafficking, NBA players having babies out of wedlock, leaving many children fatherless, and the innocent black people, inlcuding children, being shot in Chicago, amongst other places, they choose to support rapists, criminals, and protest against a group of people that chooses to risk their lives and does their job well 99.99% of the time.
Roger Godell is on the wrong side here and his league is an ignorant embarassment. Yes, there are racists in America, but America is no longer a racist country, or how could we have black people, who were enslaved by the Democrats 155 years ago, making millions of dollars a year, many of whom are adored throughout the nation by people of every color. You don't get to be LeBron James rich without being loved by millions of white people. If Goodell wants his players to continue to be ignorant and protest against America and police, that's fine. In return, us as Americans should protest against this disrespect from entitled athletes and stop supporting his league. The Rock owns the XFL, so if you love football, let's give his league a try when it starts up. The NFL right now is a disgrace.
