Self imposing punishments for 3-4 of those years, fighting against negativity surrounding the program, fighting the fans, the NCAA, and then getting handed down a final punishment of 9 scholarships over 3 years which was reduced slightly because we self imposed. WE HAVE NOT BEEN AT FULL ROSTER SINCE!
The Seniors on this 19 squad are his final recruits. Where are they? Only the 3 LB'ers are left that I can tell. KILLED US!
Enter CMR from Georgia. He comes in as a stabilizing force Mr. Clean. Proven track record. In 17 we get a glimpse of what could be. We get excited. Yet beneath it all injuries derail the season because still ZERO real depth to overcome those injuries. Misses on O-line and solid local prospects at DB and other positions who won't come here with the crash at season end THESE WOULD BE OUR JUNIORS right now. Where are they? Deejay is one. Then in 18 CMR shows up like his puppy just died and he stays in that funk on the sideline ALL SEASON! All of us saw it. Lousy scheme, won't change it, lousy QB play, won't fire son, lousy O-line won't fire Searles. You get the point.
Then CMR retires suddenly and 19 class all but disintegrates. Time was NOT on our side as it was unexpected.
Now I'm telling you this; If we fire Manny fast it will hurt us worse then you can imagine. The staff different story but we can not fire another Head Coach and expect anyone great to want this job.
Still young, still no depth, still a dumb team, still lousy at position coach level. Pinckney goes out and we have to put in a transfer walk on from Arkansas State? Let that sink in............
