Go back and watch the 30 for 30.
everyone was cool when the blue bloods were getting into trouble, running up the score and excessive celebrating. When miami did it, the blue bloods banded together and put a stop to it. No more celebrations. Arrests were publicized, running up the score was all the sudden fround upon. Paying players was a big deal.
basicly miami did what all the blue blood programs did we just did it better than they did.
ncaa made it to where only certain teams could get away with this. Anyone remember willie williams diary? Basically when you go to uf you can get away with murder and they’ll throw everything they have at you but when you come to miami… it’s a high rise 5 star hotel with a hot tub on the balcony over looking south beach with stone crabs and kobe steaks at your disposal with scarletts a limo ride away. Well, they shut that down because it was an unfair advantage to all those podunk blueblood college programs.
Here we are, beating the blue bloods at their game again. Better facilities, higher paid players, higher paid coaches, better resources.
miami on an equal playing field is the best. Their has to be financial issues, probation, a lack of commitment from the admin to keep miami off the mountain top. Even with some of those issues and some of those other programs unfair advantages, it’s amazing to see what we’ve accomplished. Never seen a perfect storm like this before. Buckle up.
