An excerpt from a ESPN article:

“When (Mike London) was Virginia’s head coach, BEATING MIAMI was ‘always’ their HIGH-POINT of the season. Figuratively, Miami kept him employed.”

And this was during the non-dominant (Shannon-Golden) era, when we really sucked-ass...but that still didn't matter to Virginia...all they know is that...WE BEAT THE MIAMI HURRICANES!!!..I mean, you saw the coach's own words describe what it meant to him, his players and the program...No matter when you beat Miami, or how good we are or aren’t at that given season/moment...nonadat matters... as I’ve stated ad-nauseumly...not a word... before... You've still beaten THE HURRICANES...and until the program understands that, we’ll continue to struggle...WE WILL ALWAYS GET EVERYONE’S BEST EFFORT...no matter what, therefore we ALWAYS have to be ready to play...ALWAYS!!!
