I saw freshmen and transfers having an impact and a soft schedule after Florida. I had my doubts about the secondary and figured the DL was over rated because our OL was not very good. I also expected some of those 4 star OL's from sophomore and jr recruiting classes to at least perform on an average level, say number 50 in the country in power 5 teams..
I didn't expect this and I also thought that given Baxa's performance last year this would not be an issue. I never could have imagined that we would have such a bad rushing game even with an average OL but it's been far below that. Almost everything that could go wrong did and for valid reasons but these games have been close enough that even if we improve in one of those areas we could win most of the games left.
Somehow that doesn't seem plausible, maybe it was just too much bad luck with JW being injured on the first game and Baxa's unpredictable performance, not to mention the OL is the worst in the country despite multiple 4 star recruits as sophomores and JR's..
It will take more than one of those things to go right against Virginia so I see a loss. No running game means no win most of all.
