Trump is anathema to conservatism. He's unpatriotic. He's an embarrassment and he's being abandoned by those who propped him up to achieve their own goals. So, you can either face that you were conned, by a man that most conservatives stated was a con artist (Rubio, Graham, Romney, Cruz for starters) or you can pretend that he was not an abject failure of a leader driven solely by the craven need for affirmation and the accumulation of personal wealth.

75 million voted for him doesn’t make them patriotic anymore than the 81 million that voted for Biden are.
His actions are unpatriotic. He has no respect for the balance of powers. He’s to pussy to accept people in his inner circle who are not afraid to challenge.
He gave classified info to Russian intelligence in the Oval Office.
He downplayed Russia’s hack on the US per his Secretary of State.
He is destroying faith in American exceptionalism our ability to conduct elections.
He lied about the pandemic, telling Americans unsafe information while informing a reporter about the actual truth.
No whataboutism required. He is scum without need of comparison.
