Mario makes a lot of sense coming to Miami. No, he has never been a coordinator before, and that may scare some. However, that should not be a barometer for hiring him as a coach. Look no further than the one team he must take the crown from in Clemson. Dabo was only a receivers coach when he took over, and it took him 8 years to build Clemson into what they are now. With our roster coming back, I doubt it will take Mario that long to make us feard again. Second, look at the chess pieces he has on the board on both offense and defense to build around. He will have no problem hiring top coordinators who would love to get their hands on, TVD, Rooster, Restrepo, Smith(Key'Shawn & Brashard), Romello, Mallory, James Williams, Kitchens, Taylor, and I can go on, but you get the point.

Mario is smart enough to look at what has worked at Miami and he will keep the one thing Manny got right, and run a spread high-tempo offense. He also knows what a Miami Hurricane defense should look like and do all he can to bring in people to run a fast aggressive, disciplined defense. This includes his ability to be one of the best recruiters in the country, and his ability to inspire, and bring discipline. He will be able to be the CEO who can establish structure, set the culture, and implement a system that wins, just like Saban, Dabo, and others. I was all-in on Manny at the beginning of the year but moved on from him after the fourth game. After doing my homework, I'm convinced that Mario should be the next coach.
