Say Richt has another season in 2019 as this past season and gets fired. Why not give Manny a shot as the new HC?
Several posters have correctly pointed out why many coaches would not wanna come here to Miami in the first place.

1) They come from small to medium size towns and would feel uncomfortable living in a large city like Miami.
2) The Hispanic factor. Dade County is approximately 70% Hispanic and many coaches would feel uncomfortable living in a city with that many foreigners. It must be culture shock for them. As a Hispanic - American I can say that without bias.

Diaz wouldn't have a problem with either one. He's Hispanic and was born and raised here. He would probably keep most of the coaches on the defensive side and he would hire the best OC around and pay him what he's worth. And give him the autonomy to run the offense. One that Manny approves of.
Sure it's somewhat of a risk since Diaz has never been a HC before. But he's been around a long time and has paid his dues. Every HC started as an assistant somewhere. I think it's worth the gamble. Diaz is no Shannon. That's for sure.
