Did a little dive into the archives this evening... Look at the correlation between 1st and 2nd Round players in the draft to how we finished that year... Seems obvious, but seeing the numbers and caliber of players in writing really hammers reality home.

I've seen people post about how we "don't have the horses" like we used to have... Is that really true? To me, we have "had the horses" for the most part, but we haven't had the coaching to DEVELOP the horses. You have to feed the horses, train the horses, develop the horses, and get the MOST out of the horses. The horses don't become Kentucky Derby winners on their own, and 4/5 star football players don't just magically develop by themselves. Kyle Wright and Lance Leggett were 5 star recruits. So was Willie Williams. And about 20-30 more the last 10-15 years.

Lot of 4 and 5 star talent have come through the streets of Coral Gables in the last 20 years, and I've seen a lot of what should have been 1st and 2nd round talent leading us to 10+ win seasons fail to get properly developed. I think the top-10 teams each year "have the horses" because they HAVE THE COACHING... Otherwise, what is Dabo doing getting a 10 year $93 million extension... Let's hope our staff can properly DEVELOP who we have here.
