As we are now in 2024, what were some of your favorite moments from 2023?

Quarterback Jacurri Brown to return to Miami

Sources confirm Jacurri Brown will return to Miami for the 2024 season.

Brown salvaged a year by redshirting in 2023 and only saw action starting against Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl, a 31-24 loss. Brown went 20-of-31 for 181 yards with one touchdown and one interception while rushing for 57 yards and two scores.

Brown will be a redshirt sophomore in 2024. He is returning to Miami as the program still searches for a transfer portal quarterback.

Brown played in eight games in 2022, throwing for 230 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for 221 yards.

Miami has Brown, sophomore Emory Williams, and 2024 signee Judd Anderson on its roster at the quarterback position.

An underwhelming season by Hurricanes fans standards, but do you see improvement?

Do you believe in the future?

JB, sounds like much of what was being said about Lamar Jackson out of HS...

We did not bring in Lamar Jackson as a HS QB because he was black, with a skill set our offense did not wish to accommodate. Play it forward, is JB being slighted and not prepared based on his skill sets? Build the O around what JB has to offer and let him play. JB is not a pocket passer, neither was Lamar Jackson - UL was the winner in using Lamar for his talents. Why not JB?

Smith in portal...

You must be kidding me! There is no way that this player should leave the program. If Smith is deciding to leave because X-man is staying for another year, X-Man should move on. The upside of Smith is far greater than what X-man has to offer for another year. The coaching staff should make this clear. This is not a competition issue, but one where X-man got more targets bc TVD had tunnel vision. There is no way, no how,why we should place X man over Smith at this point.

Xavier Restrepo to return for another season

Miami's top wide receiver Xavier Restrepo will return to the Hurricanes for another season.

He made the announcement via X/Twitter Friday morning.

The slot receiver led the Hurricanes in receptions (85) and yards (1,092) and ranked second in the ACC in both categories.

Restrepo led the team in both aforementioned categories in the Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers (11 receptions, 99 yards, 1 touchdown).

Head coach

How much is MC buy out ? Hard to watch the same dumb ass coaching mistakes. 4th and 2 and run up the middle .. like ALWAYS . and like always it fails... and my favorite was failing to use his Time outs when Rutgers was driving at the end of the 4th quarter, this is as big a failure as not talking a knee, Time management by our HC is embarrassing ... As the internet is saying.....He was saving them for the Gaytor game. .

Miami constantly communicates with Jaime Ffrench, Vernell Brown, and Jade Card.

Other Standout Players:

Under the radar prospect that will make noise in seven-on-seven this season. He constantly got open and made plays in space with reliable hands.

Jabari Brady has all the tools to become the number one wide receiver in the 2026 class, an outstanding talent that was wearing an Ohio State shirt at the end of camp.

Another outstanding talent. Miami is in contact here, but prying him away from Ohio State will be tough. Solid with the Buckeyes right now, but Miami is starting to push.

The FSU commit likes his relationship with Miami but the Hurricanes taking Luke Nickel obviously was a factor in further communication. He was the best quarterback at the tryouts and is Jamie Ffrench's teammate.

Coleman was close to being the best quarterback had plenty well-thrown balls on the day.

The young talent was impressive, and he has the potential to be the best quarterback in the country for his class.

There weren't many standout DBs, but Gachelin is certainly a player to monitor this offseason.

He is another highly talented young player who will likely be in his class's top ten in the state and could garner national attention.
