18 states have now joined Texas Lawsuit headed for SCOTUS

Keep celebrating fools. This ain’t over by a long shot.

IMO, this is the one that SCOTUS should take. States have more standing and don't see how a local yocal state court could get in the way. This is a way to combine all the elements into one rather than attempting to divide the baby into quarters. Roberts won't want to, he has problems on the island. Let's see if Thomas and Alito have the stones. Kavanaugh does scare me though. But the Red team needs to show clearly that fraud and illegal activity was widespread. Press that each fraudulent vote disenfranchises a legal voter.

Hey did they make the Docket? That's a 7-1 win for Trump so keep the tally going....lmao. It doesn't matter. He lost and has no evidence any of these states did anything wrong. They can't start deeming this unconstitutional now man. We have been using mail in ballots for over 50 years...LMAO. Trump is done like Bree Olson in March of 2002.

Don't worry, he can run again in 2024 because he can mail in his vote from jail.

No shade, but you’re not a lawyer and have never taken a Con law class have you? Again no shade, it’s a real question?

Did you guys see Kellyanne Conway’s husband, George Conway, react to the Texas lawsuit? When interviewed on TV he almost had the big one, decribing the suit as one of the most hairbrained, poorly lawyered, embarassing lawsuits he could ever imagine. He thought the Texas AG who brought the suit (who is under investigation for his own misdeeds) probably deserves suspension from the bar.

Each state conducts elections according to the rules set by those states. For one state to sue another cuz you don’t like it’s election results.....c’mon man. I’m in Cali and disagree with the results in Texas. Should the Cali AG then sue Texas to overturn its election? Beyond belief and comprehension.

I think the argument has changed from the perspective of Texas is the election was unconstitutional. It won't matter how many states join this it is a non starter. We have been doing mail in voting for over 50 years. You can't say it is unconstitutional now when you lose an election. They have moved to this because they haven't been able to prove the conspiracy theory at any level. That should tell you its validity....but I guess it still doesn't. States really don't have more standing.

Elections are local. The certification process is local through to the state. That's the beauty of them. The entire process is bipartisan. There is just no way these conspiracy theorys have merit. Too many republicans would need to be complicit and there is no benefit to your own party losing an election. These arguments are a huge waste of time and tax payer dollars like Benghazi.

Yes, and it is all bipartisan. So, this just doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell when republicans have to be involved in the approval process...

You are so stupid. The lawsuit has everything to do with who revised state election statutes (executive fiat orders instead of by the legislature as the constitution requires) and nothing to do with mail in ballots in general. They do not have to prove any fraud.

So let me get this straight. First it was all fraudulent. Couldn't prove that so now we've moved to states claiming that PA caused harm by expanding their access to mail in ballots. This expansion was passed by the GOP controlled state legislature and signed into law by the governor in October 2019. Now all of a sudden its a problem. Haha. Interesting argument coming the "states rights" crowd. This will also be laughed out of the Supreme Court.

Watch your name calling please. The judge says you do have to prove fraud if you claim it. Also states have been running thier elections and processes for decades. That doesn't change because you lost

It’s actually not and I work with attorneys on the daily. One of which is a Harvard Law Alum and said it was actually brilliant.

Funny how the media spins it. SCOTUS will hear the case and find in favor as long as the evidence is there. The linked attachment is the complaint that was filed and there are some very strong accusations. Mind you this is civil court and preponderance of evidence is the threshold to be met. I think it’s there and believe SCOTUS will agree.

On January 21st, (actually later in the day on the 20th) the clown will become a regular civilian again Cash...this ain’t brilliant, it’s frivolous bullshyt! LMMFAO

Did I hurt your feelings? I didn't call you a name, I commented on your intelligence. Since your intelligence is lacking I wouldn't expect you to be able to discern the difference.

States have been running their election process through the legislative branch since the country were founded. States have been running their election process via executive fiat for the first time ever. As usual, you're wrong about pretty much everything.

It’s really not. In Georgia there were tens of thousands of people who voted who weren’t even 18 years old.

Read the complaint. I’m telling you these are serious allegations. Let’s say the rolls were reversed I’d demand it be looked into too. Our elections are our sacred right and our power. Once we no longer have a secure election we are nothing but pawns to a system and our freedom ceases to exist. I’d fight for your rights just as I’d hope you’d fight for mine.

LMMFAO Bro, it’s a frivolous lawsuit that’s going nowhere and on January 21st, DT is back to his civilian life..you know this AND you’re trolling but hey, it’s your right to do so!! DT is more worried about his post presidency legal problems than running a country! It’s gonna be a reality show for the ages 😂😂😂

You do realize that PA expanded mail in ballots via a law that was passed by the GOP led state legislature and signed into law by the governor right?

If there were tens of thousands of people under the age of 18 that voted why haven't they been able to prove it in court over the last month? You state this as if it were fact and it's simply not. Saying it doesn't make it so.

Tweedle-dum joins the mix. You do realize that it is not the expansion of mail-in ballots in PA that is the issue, right? The lawsuit literally says the laws enacted in 2019 were then changed by the Secretary of State without the legislature's ratification. I know you struggle with big words but maybe try to read the actual document instead of the media "analysis".

No you didn't....we have rules here. Please respect the rules. It's not hard. You are free to disagree.. without the unnecessary name calling. Just say what you need to say otherwise.

Actually, I am pretty intelligent. I have a very high IQ in reality.

No.. that's not true. Legal scholars don't give an ounce of merit outside of quacks. There is a reason Trump has Rudy Guilani leading this.

On January 20th, a new president will be sworn in...on January 21st, the outgoing president will be swearing at anyone in his realm because he’s afraid of all the legal perils he’s gonna face! LOL

There are no serious Constitutional saying this. If there are any, they are left of Bernie. The group that selected the SCOTUS nominees is called the Federalist society, this is so far removed from conservative (small c) ideology that it’s strange to see GOP support. It’s literally anathema to Conservatism.

The same folks who say the civil war was over states rights and not slavery now support the literal erasure of states autonomy and citizens of those states elected decisions?

Bizarre. It’s literally justifying what is wanted without regard for what is.

The law suit was initiated by Texas AG Ken Paxton, who is under investigation by the FBI for allegedly abusing his office to benefit himself. He is charged with retaliating against 7 of his top aides who reported him to the FBI, along with a lawsuit by four former employees claims. Among the charges are bribery and improper influence in dealings with Texas investor Nate Paul.
The suit accuses Paxton not only abuse of power but also says he threatened to the careers of the whistleblowers.
In a statement Paxton said " I have always sought to protect the interests of Texans, and to use this office to uphold the laws of this great state....To be clear, I have never been motivated by desire to protect a political donor or abuse this office, nor will I ever," the statement said.
Paxton filed the lawsuit against the 4 states to draw attention away from the lawsuit filed by the whistleblowers and the FBI investigation. A tactic he learned from the dictator in chief. he thought by filing the lawsuit against 4 states was a great oppurtunity to send the message " dont look at me, look at those over there."

Each states legislature not courts its very clear in the constitution. And it has happened twice before. The question is if the court wants to take it on. And if they still believe in the constitution.

Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes announced on Wednesday that Utah has joined an amicus brief in support of the Texas petition. Shortly thereafter, Gov Gary Herbert and Gov elect Spencer Cox released a joint statement expressing disapproval of Reyes' decision. "The Attorney General did not consult us before signing on to this brief, so we don't know what his motivation is," their statement reads, "Just as we would not want other states challenging Utah's election results, we do not think we should intervene in other state's elections. Candidates that wish to challenge election results have access to the courts without our intervention. This is an unwise use of taxpayers' money."

A miss use of tax payers money is what the Democrats in Washington have done for 4years to Trump with all the Russian bullshit that has been proven to be nothing.

Don't disagree with that at all and never have. Stupid donkeys thought that there was nothing wrong with going to the extraordinary lengths of an impeachment with no evidence. Just pointing out that while Utah may have joined the brief in Texas and is a solidly Republican state, the leaders here are not happy with the AG's decision.

We have many Republicans that are selling out to the money. And are as deep in the swamp as the liberal Democrats. Along with the none exiting media we have in this country.

This lawsuit is ridiculous.
Don’t you people realize if the lawsuit were to succeed it would the death knell of our government as a union of states.
I am amazed how many Americans fail to realize that this suit has nothing to do with fraud or rigging, but everything to do with the 10th Amendment and the right of states’ power and independence under the Constitution.
But, notwithstanding the above, which would alter our Constitution; what truly amazes me as how many people are so ignorant of history.
Are people so willing to have their own candidate as their leader, that they are willing to go down the path of destroying the United States as a democratic republic ? ( notice the small d in the word democratic republic )
Trump has clearly shown his love of dictators. He has constantly ignored our institutions, norms and conventions. He has “jokingly” said he deserves more than 8 years in office. (though people who work with him unanimously say he never jokes).
If Trump were to gain another term by court or legislative fiat, rather than election of electors, this Republic would be destroyed and it would follow its ruin in the same way as the Roman Republic with Caesar, the Weimar Republic with Hitler, and Venezuela with Chavez.
I am appalled that so many Americans would seem to have no problem going down this clearly defined road.
Indeed our Republic is in much weaker than I would have believed!

Stop watching the fake news. Trump is the farthest thing from a dictators. The problem is that he speaks his mind and when he says he will do something he does it. Dictators and socialist country’s are the ones who block free speech and that is exactly what social media is doing in this country at the moment Facebook , Twitter YouTube and mainstream media. That in itself is a form of election fraud because they pick and chose what they want you to know. His personality rubs people the wrong way. That does not make him a dictator. By the way that little remark about more then 8yrs was Made by Obama in 2015.

Again, no argument about that. Utah however has had Trump's back with the exception of Romney and is a generally well run state. They do believe in state's rights however and that is why their leaders are against butting in to how other state's hold their elections. I am no fan of Biden whatsoever but agree with their reasoning on this.
