Let me start off by saying, I was all for al copper when he was named head coach. Not because of his resume, more so of how he conducted his self, sold his vision to the fans, he sounded very confident in his plan, and had ME confident that his plan would work!! I lost all confidence in him doing the Maryland game.......his first game coaching!!! It was evident to me that he was and is a "garbage ass coach!" No need to discuss his time coaching at the University of Miami, we all know it sucks. Let's fast forward it to today. My opinion of the situation now, is al copper and the administration are banking on other teams having to replace a lot of key positions. I believe if al copper wins (can't believe I put al copper and win in the same sentence), it will not be because he out-coached others. Our biggest threats lost more than us, with the exception of GT and probably Clemson. I believe every other team lost their starting QB, which is by far the most important position. I bring this up because I wish/hope al copper is let go this upcoming season, because I truly believe that al copper wouldn't ever win big. We might have a better record this year, in which they may retain him, that along would mean that the administration is contempt with 8-9 win season with the ocassional 10 win season. That should never be the standard at Miami. I may be wrong but I can't recall any good/great coach main goal is to win a division, not a conference or a championship, but a ****n division!!!!!
