Our friend Zeke continues to deflect from the crux of my initial post with pointless gibberish unrelated to the subject. I correctly pointed out the harsh reality of what the Juneteenth Day celebration was about. It's about recognizing the end of slavery albeit not the official end date. The Emancipation Proclamation was an Executive Order (EO) issued by President Lincoln. Many of us know, EO's remain in effect until they are canceled/revoked, determined to be unlawful, or expire. Lincoln knew a constitutional amendment was needed in order to guarantee the abolishment of slavery. As a result, the 13th amendment was ratified in 1865. Those are the facts.

My opening post tied the Juneteenth Day celebration to the efforts of Republicans to suppress our right to vote. Those who support this new holiday should also be appalled at the level of voter suppression in the country. No one, including Zeke, offered any input on this subject. Instead, he played mindless word games that didn't further our discussion. My assessment is, Zeke would rather focus on a technical point about the meaning of the word "all" and not the substance of my post.

As for debating the correlation of Juneteenth with Georgia voting law, I would think you’d be better off using 15th Amendment of 1870 because that’s when blacks got right to vote. Don’t see how Georgia Law is voter suppression. Abrams and Democrats watch polls see 80% for ID now they support it, guess it’s not racist anymore. Nice Clinton play with it all depends on the meaning of “ all “. I’m such a nice guy I’ll even help you with that.
