I wanted to revisit the some of the conspiracies the liberal lunatics on this site were pushing over 4 years ago that have been easily forgotten over the years. This is part one of a multipart discussion of such topics.

Remember this conspiracy: Trump’s Supreme Court was going to overturn Roe v. Wade. What happened to all of this hysteria? We were told Trump and the religious right wing were going to ban abortions across the US. This was an inherent right and liberty that would be taken away by the evil orange man! Let’s hear from the loons on this topic to understand why they stopped pushing this conspiracy.

You guys are very fun and funny talking to yourselves. Affirmation and self congratulations all around. Well done.

Four posts alone by Breaking. Quite a contribution to discussions on this board.

How are you dealing with your hysteria?

I’m having fun trying to figure out your posts:

1. Why does Breaking constantly post mini rants and then, when no one responds, respond to himself? Exhibitionism?

2. Does Breaking not believe that new Red state abortion restrictions (eg no abortions in Texas after 6 weeks) are an explicit strategy to abolish Roe v Wade by a thousand cuts?

3. Why does Breaking repeatedly tell people that he is smart and demean people who oppose him as low IQ? Insecurity?

Holla when Roe v Wade is overturned as your ilk claimed

Remember Trump’s Supreme Court was going turn the US into the Republic of Gillead? Funny

No abortion after 6 weeks in Texas. Roe v Wade is being attacked on its flanks, not head on.

Will the Supreme Court defer to the Texas legislature or reaffirm Roe? I’m predicting the former. Road to Gilead?

Don't forget getting rid of pre-existing conditions! That was pounded into the sheep for years!

The TEXAS voters can deal with TEXAS issues. That's how that works.

These people need to reread the constitution. We are a republic of states. States make their own laws as long as they don’t violate the supremacy clause.

Which federal law allows abortion? Which federal law bans it? This should be a state decision. The people in their state should decide.

just finished season 4 of the Handmaids Tale. It has been renewed for a 5th season. Outstanding.

FYI, if you haven’t see it, Mare of Easttown on HBO is the outstanding show of this season. Starting Kate Winslet and a stellar cast, Mare is a small town murder/mystery tale complicated by complex family dramas across this hard scrabble Pennsylvania town. The totally unglamorous Winslet is off the charts great as the local detective. Twists and turns galore. She will win many awards for this performance.

Don’t miss it!

My guess is that there will be litigation to challenge Red state restrictions on abortions, arguing that the new state laws violate the precedent created by Roe v Wade. If the Supreme Court ultimately gets these variety of cases on appeal, the Republican majority on the court will have the opportunity to weaken or reaffirm Roe.

Mare was fantastic! Much better than the Undoing with Nicole Kidman. Very well done really captured the small town America feel.

Buddy they will all be challenged in court. No doubt about that.

HJ,

If you enjoyed Mare and Handmaids, you are likely to enjoy the British murder/mystery series, Broadchurch, on Netflix.

It stars Academy Award winner Olivia Coleman as a small town detective in the UK investigating the mysterious murder of a young boy. Multiple suspects. Twists and turns. Family drama reminiscent of Mare. Wonderful.

Check it out.

Cortez I'm gonna give you one but you really need to watch it in German with English sub-titles
Babylon Berlin. TRUST ME it is easy to follow and a fantastic Detective period piece Berlin pre-Nazi 1927-28 when Berlin was the hottest city in Europe

I started it on the recommendation of another Cane fan. But, got hung up on the German. Should I give it another try?

If you don’t mid subtitles, highly recommend the Israeli thriller, Fauda. It’s the struggle between Israeli special intelligence forces vs Arabic insurrectionists. Lots of action plus personal drama. Less political than human on both sides. Gripping.

The English dubbed version is wimpy. Go Hebrew.

Buddy Babylon Berlin is unreal. Most expensive show every for Europe won every award. It is FANTASTIC! Great story line, great twists and turns, great ending, accurate portrayal of the decadence and craziness of Berlin. WELL worth it! My wife watched Broadchurch and Fauda loved them both. You will NOT be able to predict the ending of Babylon no way

Was hoping the board loons would chime in for a legit discussion about their hysteria. Is it their IQ or lack of integrity?

Before I post another bit of hysteria, lady called for the loons to answer why Roe v Wade wasnt overturned as the loons on this board promised?

I can explain it to you, Breaking, but I can’t understand it for you.

*the Supremes don’t go in search of opportunities to overturn precedents like Roe v Wade. They wait as appeals bubble up from litigation across the country dealing with abortion.

*opponents of Roe are highly unlikely to directly seek reversal of Roe. Too hard a path. Rather, they will introduce various restrictions on abortion rights in multiple state legislatures. That is happening now.

*backers of Roe will sue saying that the new state legislation is an unconstitutional violation of Roe. Trial courts will rule. Appellate courts will rule thereafter.

*eventually, we could see different federal appellate courts reach different and conflicting opinions on whether Roe has been violated. Thats where the Supreme could step in. It is highly common for the Supreme Court to get involved when various federal appellate courts are in conflict. The Supreme Court then resolves the conflict with a published opinion.

Review of Roe vs Wade before the Supreme Court is a matter of timing. It very well might be coming over the next several years.

Worthless content, per usual. You post your point and then when challenged, you reply that your words were originally posted by someone else.

Low integrity. Low IQ. Sheep.

Nope. Get with the program. Words have meaning, and I’m calling out those who were hysterical back in 2016…. For nothing!

Keep up your weak attempts to deflect!
