I just saw a video on IG Cubans are revolting in the streets of Cuba

very very sad. All the protestors are peacefully protesting. There are no guns, as no citizen is allowed the right to bear arms. All guns are with the government, so the police and secret units walk around with batons, beat the hell out of everyone, then they cut all the electricity in those cities, cut the internet and blocked all phone lines, rounded up the press, and took out their guns and disappeared the troublemakers. God protect them today, as the government goes out to thin the protestors. I was able to get a call in before it happened and late last night, and the people are holed up in their houses for fear of the retaliation to come, but also very fed up with their government. Basically the sentiment is die now or die later, it doesn't matter, as the government will kill them in the end anyway (by starvation or exposing them to covid from the government tourist trade) Praying for my brothers and sisters here and there🙏

Adonis Milán, a theater director in Havana, said the extreme conditions became too much to bear.

“This is no longer a question of freedom of expression; it’s a question of hunger,” Mr. Milán said. “People are hitting the street. They are asking for an end to this government, to one-party rule, to repression and the misery we have lived through for 60 years.”

A few hours later, he called back, sobbing, saying that the internet had been cut off, that anti-riot squads were in the streets and that a number of artists had been arrested after they demanded airtime on national television.

“I managed to escape,” he said.

today is going to be ruff. The sec they have all the international press detained and all accounted for it's going to get ugly. Calls on phones are sketchy, with alot of disconnects but atleast they are making it out, and Texting looks like is still coming out. 🙏

Communist and Socialist goernments do that stuff. Kill protestors in the street, shut off the phones and internet. Send government agents door to door. Encourage citizens to rat on each other.

As Maximo Alvarez so eloquently put it at the RNC last year, events happening in our Country are starting to "sound familiar".

I was watching the situation in Cuba in the news this morning. it looks like the Dictatorship of the Proletariat must let off some steam before the lid blows by letting some people put like they did in Mariel. If it is controlled look for them to empty their jails and send them North just like the mariel blowout.

Hired a legit Cuban refugee 4-5 years ago. He was 50ish, been in the states probably 10 years. One of the hardest workers I ever had working for me. He told me a story once about how a friend of his listened to The Rolling Stones on a radio. He said a neighbor turned him in to the government. The friend disappeared in the middle of the night and he never saw him again. The guy I hired floated to Florida on a inner tube for 3 days

The Cuban people are true victims and they deserve immediate refugee status if they can get here. While they suffer Biden and Harris invite and allow drugs, guns, human trafficers and gangs to come freely across our southern border.. Biden is doing nothing to help the Cuban protestors being jailed and executed at this very moment..

They have taken to the streets, looting stores, revolting against oppression. Long time coming. Lets see how fast Cuban Gov't unleashes the military. I pray they succeed.
They are fed-up with not having a future nor the life basics its about fuccking time..this is mostly lead by young people..
Liberta , Liberta..!!!
The military is already involved but will have to be very careful the world is watching.
Its not like the 60s when they threw out journalist and shut down communication from the world..
Different ball game…

Not to defend Biden but what can he do other than talk? (he can't even do that very well)

My Cuban wife of 35 years came over in '68. She was 8 yrs old and neither she or her parents spoke a word of English. They lived in a dingy apartment in Opa-Locka, but were grateful they were free. Her parents borrowed money from family members, a huge extended family, and paid every dime back over the ensuing years. They worked 3 jobs, ending the day late into the night cleaning office buildings so my wife could go to Dade Christian Private School off of SR 826. They never complained, but rather were grateful to be Free. My wife said they studied their asses off to take the Naturalization Test, which was made harder as the test was in English and their English was limited. But they passed with flying colors. They were US Citizens and were so very grateful. They worked hard to buy a modest home in Hialeah and were debt free 20 years later. They always flew the American Flag in their front yard. My Father-in-Law was a huge baseball fan growing up in Cuba, and a huge fan of Tommy Lasorda. When Lasorda managed the 2020 USA team and they played Cuba to win the Gold, my Father-in-Law could hardly watch the game fearing Cuba might win. It was one of the greatest days of his life when the USA beat Cuba.
I won the in-law lottery. My mother-in-law was a phenomenal cook, and would make any Cuban dish I'd ask for.
These were the finest people I've ever known, and NEVER COMPLAINED. Always God fearing, blessed, and grateful.

When I see these sniveling, entitled, young and old assholes tearing down the Country, I think "if they only knew". I was lucky to be born here, but even luckier to have met my wife and, through her, was introduced to a Culture that I'd otherwise might have never really known.

Very brave people to risk it all for freedom. I have so much respect for t

fantastic story, don't be bitter the fact is these loud mouths bashing our country are indeed the minority.

Hopefully will overthrow the govt and institute normalcy.
What is normalcy? According to my Dad, a Bay of Pigs veteran who served two years in a Cuban Prison before JFK negotiated their release, the Batista dictatorship was bad also. I figure if things continue to deteriorate Diaz-Canel will rid his country of discontents and send them to the US Embassy or most probably authorizing an orderly exit out to the US via Mariel as happened in 1980 when the regime faced civil disorder on a grand scale. it may get interesting Biden seems to be another Carter.

FWIW: Alejandro Mayorka, or whatever his name is, the man in charge of Homeland security is Cuban as far as I know whether he was born here or in Cuba in unknown if that matters. I just saw this guy in TV announce that the US will deny entry to any Cubans who try to flee to the US. Meanwhile he ignores the masses of illegal entries now on our Southern Border.

Special place in hell for that guy. He was born in Cuba and fled after the Cuban revolution. Denying his fellow countrymen the same opportunity of asylum he had. His mother also was a Romanian Jew who fled the Holocaust. I bet they’re rolling over in their graves.

Not sure it would take that long… maybe if we stopped for cafecito.
I don't know that it would be quite that easy. The Bay of Pigs invasion, covertly financed and directed by the U.S. government, didn't fare well. It was a sizeable force with over 1400 paramilitaries including some U.S. military personnel trained in Guatemala. Most ended up in Cuban prisons after a couple days. They also probably have several Che Guevara types who would make excellent guerilla leaders.

I understand that but we would never be able to end that regime in half a day or less even if we skipped the cafecito stop. They would prove to be a formidable force while utilizing guerilla tactics as they did before. The only way to end the regime in half a day or less would be to nuke them.

ending a regime no… militarily defeating them and taking their resources away absolutely. Then allow the Cuban people to set their own govt while providing them security until they can do it on their own.

I don't buy that we could defeat them military and take their resources away in half a day or less. That's absurd. The only way we could do that is to nuke them and that will never happen.

Stir up the Cuban population to rise up and overthrow their oppressors. Provide through clandestine sources weapons that would be used to defend themselves against their Communist oppressors. Either our administrations dick is in all the way or not. It is apparent that they are wasting this opportunity as we wasted our opportunity in Iran to overthrow their government. We should be all in and support the Cubans against this tyranny that has lasted decades.

Amazing how many of the Cubans protesting were flying the American Flag, just like the protesters in Hong Kong when they were combating the Chinese Communist Government. Yet we have these entitled, ignorant College brats who say they're embarrassed by the our Flag and our Country. If only we could deport their asses to Cuba and/or China.

You have a point I have yet to see a BLM flag at any demonstration in Florida or Hong Kong.
