After looking at all the rosters every team has gaping holes. I am willing to bet not one team from the acc ends up in the top 10 and maybe not even the top 15. Both the coastal and the Atlantic might have 8-4 teams in the acc championship game.
Fsu will not be dominant- they will resemble the 9-4 team in 2011. They will get to 9 wins on sheer talent. No proven pass rush, young oline like us, two mediocre qb's in McGuire
And. Gholsen. Too many distractions and if they lose cook no proven great back.
Clemson- another 9 win team with worse oline than us, lost 9 starters on defense and their very good kicker was arrested and booted from team. Still they have a lot of talented playmakers at wr and quality backs with good offensive scheme and excellent but often injured qb
Nc state improving with proven solid qb but inept on defense and not a lot of playmakers on offense 8 wins max
Wake forest no talent
Syracuse no talent
Boston college good line play but not fast enough to win 8 games
Danville good coaching and soliid recruiting, but spotty qb play and rebuilding defense 8 wins max.
Gt is probably the best team on paper and good coach.but far from a dominant. Not having a real passing game hurts their chances in big games. Not a lot of talent on defense they are returning a very good pass rusher in days, but lose all linebackers. Also got kind of lucky last year as they were plus 10 on turnover margin and will probably return to 8 wins again
Vt - excellent defense with 3 top players returning from injury and well coached. However, offense still horrible with Brewster at the helm and loelfler calling plays. Special teams still subpar for them.
Canes - lost true playmakers on offense and a lot of reshuffling on oline. They have more talent across the board than most acc teams but suspect game day coaching holds the back. Good qb play returning with solid defense might be able to land 8 to 9 wins if ball bounces right.
Duke - better talent, but oline and dline are big question marks along with overall speed.
Pitt could be supriise team with good running game and excellent receiver, but new coach with limited talent on the defense andnavg qb will hold them to 7 wins.
Carolina- good offense and solid playmakers, but schollie reductions and worst defense in power 5 football make them a7win team at best
Virginia -qb transferred out , horrible coaching and no threats at receiver make them easy to beat unless your miami. 6 games maximum wins
