., Miami Hurricanes named top 10 college football brand!
Proof of the Miami brand were the ESPN 30 for 30 documentaries The U and The U Part II. The U is one of the highest-rated 30 for 30s for ESPN. Miami will have a more business-like approach under Cristobal. Props Miami has used in past years will not be a part of the Cristobal tenure, at least for now!10. MIAMI HURRICANES
“The U” is ready to wreak vengeance on the rest of college football under first-year head coach Mario Cristobal, who has already expanded Miami’s national brand and hopes to bring the Hurricanes back to prominence as a title contender.
Miami’s NIL arm, driven by billionaire booster John Ruiz, is one of the nation’s most impressive in the early going of college football’s new era and the Hurricanes are making moves on the recruiting trail as a result.
At the turn of the century, Miami’s brand was once again at its peak and eve the down years since, prep athletes know the Hurricanes used to be a football powerhouse.”
***Best/kinda worser still, we’ve accomplish ed/kept all this positive “INTERNATIOBAL/GLOBAL” brand recognition going strong, with nary a sniff…save for once recently, and our (2017) campaign…of an ACC Coastal Crown/ACC Championship Game appearance. But that (2017) season was a welcome doozy, save for the not-unexpected Crash & Burn at the end there…But the awesomely-fantastical Golden Goose was especially savoring...to wit
A- The complete and utter murderous slaughter (41-8), of an undefeated, Top-10 (Notre Lame) team, with (2) consensually-rated 1st Round NFL Draft Picks on their OLine….one a potential Top-5 OT, yet our entire DLine set up camp…whilst roasting marshmallows and raconteur’ing ghost stories…3-5 yds. in their backfield ALL NIGHT! In PrimeTime and on Nat’l TV for all to see…
B- Hearing the hosts of the ubiquitous GameDay Crew, who brought their über-popular set to Miami’s campus earlier that day (Notre Lame) game. Yeah, hearing them proclaim that this particular GameDay was one of, if not THE, best/loudest GameDays, they have ever witnessed/hosted/been a part of. And the fact that wildly known, Canes-Hater (Chris Fowler), was the host denoting those actual facts, well that just made it that much sweet!
C- None other than (Kirk Herbstrei), from high atop the DAT ROKK stadium announcers booth, and on the heels of one of, if not THE best singular football play…taking into account the opponent/ranking of both teams/what was at stake/TV Audience…Miami’s football lore coffers…Bandy’s smoove-sweet-as-raw-bee-hone-honey Pick-Six; which in turn sent the overflow home crowd into a maddening, all-encompassing roaring, frenzy. Then as Lady-Luck made a perfectly planned appearance, an image of a hapless (Notre Lame) fan, physically covering both ears, appeared on all (4) stadium large screen TV’s, which in turn made the crowd climb to another ear-splitting level…Prompting the aforementioned (Herbstreit), to proclaim…to his announcing team partner, Brent I think…
”Partner, we’ve been to our share of loud stadiums in the last (20+) years, especially down south in SEC country, and fair or not, since the move from the original Orange Bowl, Miami’s fan base have taken more than their share of vitriolic criticism for having ZERO/embarrassing home crowd advantage/atmosphere . B.ut i think it’s safe to say, TONIGH, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW….This is undoubtedly THE LOUDEST crowd I’ve ever heard…period!”
