This year has been exactly what we brought Richt on board to do. Get us in the conversation every year with a chance to win big. We knocked off like 5 separate 15 year droughts this year: Coastal, 10 wins, beat FSU, VT and ND in same year, 15 wins in a row, Big 6 bowl game (Orange Bowl), undefeated at home, etc. So much progress since the dark ages of Shannon/Golden in such a short period of time and we hit every single goal we had for this year.
1. Top 10 ranking both years during the year (up to #2 with a chance to be #1 last week of the year)!!!
2. Top 5 recruiting class for 2018
3. New IPF being built (wanted but not yet in the plans when Richt joined)
4. Attacking defense back as the staple of the team
5. South Florida HS community and overall community back on board with full support
6. Turned Hard Rock stadium into one of the best environments in college football...no one would have believed
7. Gameday showed up a 2 games (ND and ACCCG) with the first visit ever on campus and record crowds/ratings during that session. That day was one of the best in Cane history given the dominant victory over ND and one of the loudest crowds I have seen despite having 15,000 less fans than the OB.
Huge opportunity at home to get to 11 wins and finish with a top 10 ranking. Hope everyone comes out fired up like the last bowl game.
