You think leading our top law enforcement organization is tantamount to being a govt hack ? Interesting.

Government service is not something to be mocked. Unless of course you are an agent of a foreign government seeking to weaken us.

Some Govt service I’ll agree, however most of these people are hacks!! Nepotism and jobs handed to donors are a plague on our tax dollar! And the respect you pay Govt is baffling!! And the “foreign government” comment is more lefty baseless nonsense!! If Comey so wonderful why didn’t he provide evidence of Russian collusion? He did wiretap Trumps team! He did surveillance on the entire group! All to aid Hillary while he let he get away with destroying evidence and putting us in harms way via “foreign agents”

Speaking of ethics, Comey LEAKED info to the press!! And he’s going to lecture everyone about ethics!! GTFOH

You take positions on both sides of this argument.

Which is it going to be...

Do you not like him because he came forward with the Hillary info at an in opportune time for her election?

Or...

Do you admire him because he served the country, even if some of that was not above board?

Definitely admire his service as I hold FBI employees in the highest regard. His issue with Hillary before the election was strange given that it was a departure from long standing bureau protocols. But all things said, Hillary has no one but herself to blame for losing the election or even being in a situation where Trump was remotely close enough to her in the polls where something like this could influence the outcome. Comey was between a rock and a hard place since he had previously promised Congress to keep them in the loop about any changes in the investigation, which he ultimately did.

He didn't do any of those things. He did however reject the President of the United States' request to obstruct justice for him, which puts him in much higher regard than the President.

When did Trump ask him to obstruct Justice?? He brought stain on the office more than once!! Perfect example was when he closed the Hillary investigation before gathering evidence!! Appalling

By asking Pence and others to leave the room and then proceeding to ask Comey for "loyalty" and to drop the Flynn investigation. That's an attempt to obstruct justice.

That’s obstruction of justice?? No! Clinton meeting the sitting AG and discussing his wife’s case is Obstruction of Justice! Obama pilling DEA off Hezbollah to apease Putin is Obstruction of Justice! Trump didn’t obstruct an active investigation, Comey was an employee! You wouldn’t want loyal employees?

The FBI Director isn't the President's personal head of secret police who is there to cover up his crimes and prosecute his enemies. That's how they do it in authoritarian states.

Never said he was! Where did I say that. However with that, Kennedy chose his brother as Atty General, what does that tell you?

That was 50 years ago. We've more or less gotten rid of that sort of overt nepotism during the intervening time, until of course Trump rolled in.

Nepotism is exactly what the article says it is! Obama was worse than most.

Not nearly. Trump has given his daughter - someone with zero experience outside the world of fashion and "branding" a high profile role in his WH. He has also given his son in law - someone with zero diplomatic experience (other than meeting up with Russians on the down low) a role that is nearly on par with the Secretary of State. Both incredibly incompetent and irresponsible.

Kushner on par with Sec of State?? Talk about stretching the role. I don’t like either of them, however I’ll draw the line at lying. Obviously Trump wants them close. On him if they screw up

Yes - since Trump runs a patronage network of friends and close family members; someone like Kushner is going to have much more power than Tillerson, who Trump only just met in 2017.

Which pol doesn’t run a patronidge network? Takes a lot of people to get them there, favors to pay! Obama was worst of all, see the czar program he started

All of them other than Trump don't. Its what is done in authoritarian countries like Russia and Turkey.
