John Lennon was a Republican.

Churchill’s axiom that anyone who isn’t a liberal when young has no heart, and anyone who isn’t a conservative when old has no brain .. remains true to this day .
Liberals have no monopoly on compassion, although they think they do

His quote on capitalism vs socialism remains true also. "The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent vice of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries."

Liberals always talk peace , love & flowers , until you disagree with their thoughts , then the hate spews out

I always wondered if john lennon used, literally used the Vietnam war to build a platform. When you think of the hippies and protesting the war, be honest, he was right at the top but do you really think he cared that much or was he just an opportunist capitalizing on emotion at the time?

at the end of the day, he made great music but towards the end the more he got involved with yoko and political statements, the more his music sucked. It got to the point where even the beetles didn’t want to have much to do with him.

take jimi for example. Towards the end, his music just went to shit and he died. You never hear his later stuff because it sucked. It’s not art when it’s just a drugged out half ass mess with a political message.

the doors, there’s a good reason they weren’t invited to woodstock.

just seems like the more screwed up these musicians got the more they tried to grab onto the emotional politics as a last life line.
