Kirby Smart did what Mark Richt couldn't - he got Georgia over the hump

However, there is absolutely no question that Richt laid the groundwork for Smart. Richt built that program into a perennial top 5-10 team from recruiting to the strength program, etc.

I bet Smart reaches out to Richt to thank him. He should.
