I met George Kirby on a family cruise from San Fran to Alaska in July 1986 on the SS Fairsky (Sitmar Cruise Lines). He wasn't on board the whole cruise. He hopped on in Sitka. I didn't know who he was until my folks told me he was an old time comedian and a lot more talented than the hacks that the cruise lines hired to make us laugh every night at the on board entertainment. Of course, he didn't hop on board to work. He was just coming off of a job in Sitka. I still have the cassette that he autographed. "What Happened To The Good Ole Days? God Bless you. George Kirby".
