2 things
1) He blocked the 40 billion and got called out by name by Schumer on the Senate floor yesterday for doing so.
ALL HE WANTS IS ACCOUNTABILITY ON THE USE OF THE FUNDS!
A breach of Senate rules by Schumer I might add.

2) We are borrowing 40 billion from China so we can send it to Ukraine
How pathetic is that TRUE statement.

I mentioned this to Mr. Wrong ,and he. questioned the patriotism of anybody just wanting to know where the money was going. We should just trust the government when we know hundreds of millions of dollars
disappeared in Covid relief fraud. Just trust Brandon.

"Accountability" for Paul is just a front for obstruction. We all know he's an isolationist just like his wacky old man was.

Obstruction for accountability … Your getting as dumb as your party .. Next thing you’ll tell us is u can give birth to a child..

It’s just money laundering in the most corrupt country on the planet. The Biden’s are compromised by their former dealings in Ukraine.

Biden will give Ukraine and China whatever they want.

Ukraine is fighting a proxy war for us against Russia. We should give them all they need.

If you think most of that money isn’t being laundered or squandere, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.

This isn’t cost free to the American citizens, it’s our money and it shouldn’t be used to enrich the select few.

If most of the money is being laundered or squandered then how do you explain Ukraine success on the battlefield? U.S. Dept. of Defense spokesperson John Kirby said most artillery pieces, provided to Ukraine by Washington, are already in use on the frontlines. He stated the vast majority of the howitzers that we have sent are actually on the frontlines and the Ukrainians are using them quite effectively.

Hope he explained it better than who was on the planes in "the greatest airlift in history" or how many Americans were left behind." We don't know".
We know that the vastly outnumbered Ukrainian troops are holding the invading Russians to basically a stalemate.

I started a thread asking a question that hasn’t been answered. Is there a limit on how much we fund this proxy war between countries that are closely related? Is there a limit?

I’m not convinced that the spin about Ukrainian victory is believable. It’s reckless to say that the goal is to recapture all the land taken by Russia
At what cost ?
The real revolting aspect of the questioning of this expenditures is the ridiculous claim that the Republicans who opposed the legislation were “ Putin stooges “ The progressives are now the party of huge military expenditures, at least when they are spent on other peoples.
But anything to gain a political advantage.. Like it’s some national obligation to endlessly fund a foreign country without a exit strategy.
It’s not in anyones best interest to continue the carnage.

They are brave and tremendous fighters. But they are also in a situation that they are not equiped to win.
Live to fight another day!

Hunter Biden for openers...
Joe and Hunter should show their dedication to support of Ukraine and write a check with their ill gotten gains add to the $40B; equal to what Burisma paid Hunter. Now that would be leadership and build support for Joe and Hunter as stand up guys. Let's all hold our breath.

Does that mean that Ukrainians are dying to give Biden cover for shortage of baby formula, high gas and food prices? Mike, a lot of your posts are making sense today. Are you taking testosterone?

Exactly why are we interested in fighting a war with Russia? Proxy or active . Hot or Cold ?
How does that advance the prosperity of Americans?
Does it increase my IRA ? Put food on my table ? Reduce my energy costs ?
It’s a country half our population, they manufacture nothing. The war in Ukraine is s war of cousins.
No they ( Russia) shouldn’t have invaded Ukraine, but the administration is using the old trick , when you have domestic issues , wave the international issue . Make up a diversion.
The whole threat of future invasions by Russia is nonsense. Made up stiff
Germany in 1939 was a war machine bar none . They rampaged through France and Poland in weeks . This is not a similar situation.

He's an isolationist, so it would be obstruction.
Liberal term for a Representative who cares about his own constituents is ISOLATIONIST. What was Obama when he provided blankets and cans of Spam?

The real question that you allude to is : Why aren't we part of a coalition to try and broker peace? I haven't heard ONE WORD about ending the carnage.

They are a major producer of wheat and other agricultural needs and the country has loads of some material needed to make chips ( I forget the name)

Ukraine is among the largest producers of the following minerals:

Metallic minerals

  • 7th place in the world in iron extraction: 39 M tonnes and 2.4% of global output (after Australia, China, Brazil, India, Russia and RSA)
  • 8th place in the world in manganese extraction: 651 thousand tonnes and 3.6% of global output (after RSA, Australia, China, Gabon, Brazil, Ghana and India)
  • 6th place in the world in titanium extraction: 431 thousand tonnes and 6.3% of global output (after China, RSA, Australia, Canada і Mozambique)
  • 2nd place in the world in gallium extraction: 9 tonnes and 2.9% of global output (after China)
  • 5th place in the world in germanium extraction: 1 tonne and 1% of global output (after China, Russia, USA and Japan)

Non-metallic minerals

  • 6th place in the world in kaolins extraction: 2,4 M tonnes and 5,9% of global output (after China, USA, Germany, India and Czech Republic)
  • 10th place in the world in zirconium silicate extraction: 26 thousand tonnes and 1,9% of global output (after Australia, RSA, China, Mozambique, Senegal, USA, Kenia, India and Indonesia)
  • 8th place in the world in graphite extraction: 13 thousand tonnes and 1.3% of global output (after China, Brazil, North Korea, India, Russia, Canada and Madagascar)

So they have mineral resources. How does that affect us ?
Are they giving those away ? They were known as a very corrupt country, they sell things with people skimming off the top
Assume that Russia takes over . What would they do ? Sell us the same minerals at the same price .
The carnage goes on . Cities are being leveled.
People are dying
Russia had 1000’s of Ukrainian POWs .
There is a threat of Nukes ( if people think that Russia would be driven out of Crimea without pulling the Nuke card , they are delusional)
So where are the negotiations?
Nowhere. We are gearing up for another $50 billion . Watch
