I'm starting to believe Richt wanted to see Diaz fail. Everyone says how great a man Richt is, which he is btw, but he is a human being. I'm pretty sure he didn't appreciate Manny undermining him last year and blaming the bad season on him. I bet Richt approached the AD and told him he would only give up his guaranteed money only if they hired Manny. That's why it happened so fast with no interviews. He knew Manny couldn't resist the opportunity and he also knew Manny wasn't prepared to be the head coach at UM right now. Richt is somewhere smiling having a cold beer right now!
