NSA is the best in the world when it comes to this kind of stuff. As you've seen in the Wikileaks release, they have the ability to mask their hacks and make it look like it was someone else. Also the Chinese are a giant pain in the ass!
As for Flynn what got him in trouble was his violation of the Logan Act. He also did not announce his financials for his deal while teaching on behalf of an American org while being paid by the Russian Govt. Basically he spoke at a Seminar in regards to Electronic Espionage because he is one of the most well known and informed individuals in the world on this topic. He was paid a speaking fee of somewhere between $15k & $35k. Ive heard different amounts but they were all in between that range. He didn't disclose that in his hearing.
There's a high probability Flynn didn't break the law and will walk but technically speaking he violated the Logan Act which is why he was fired.
Now here is what Podesta did:
In 2011 John Podesta joined the board of this very small energy company called Joule Energy based out of Massachusetts. About two months after he joins the board a Russian entity called RUSNANO puts a billion rubles, which is about $35 million, into John Podesta’s company. Now, what is RUSNANO? RUSNANO is not a private company. It is a fund directly funded by the Kremlin. In fact the Russian finance minister called RUSNANO “Putin’s Child.” So you have the Russian government investing in one of John Podesta’s business in 2011 while he is an adviser to Hillary Clinton at the State Department.
Between all of the email leaks it's not looking good for Podesta as he was providing access to Clinton for monetary donations. This happened for both him and the Clinton Foundation as a whole.
Based on what I know if an investigation continues both Podesta and the Clintons will end up in federal prison on a multitude of charges.
Don't even get me started on her knowledge of Weiner's sexually abusing a minor and not reporting it which is a crime in itself. They know for a fact she had knowledge but the question now is whether or not she ordered the coverup. If they can prove she did then adios & rightfully so!
Most people, especially the democrats love Bill Clinton but he's a sex addict like Weiner. You only hear about the Monica affair but this dude was hopping on planes to a private island with a pedophile without secret service detail in tow. Hillary was on a couple of those flights with him. She knew about all of his affairs. She also knew she could never gain political office without him. They're awful people.
I have a very close friend who was on her secret service detail. He hated that assignment.
