Isidora was having an outstanding season. He was probably the second best starter to Flowers on the OL. And then the FSU game happened and, inexplicably very quickly he went from very good to very bad.

I record every division one game during the season and analyze each play. For the OL I try to determine whether or not the OL blocked effectively and I keep track of the good and bad key blocks. I express the analysis for blocking effectiveness in ratios. The higher the ratio the better the performance.

Up until the FSU game, Isidora's run blocking ratio was 4.8:1 which is pretty good and second on the team to Flowers (6.6:1). From the FSU game on his run blocking ratio fell drastically to 2.3:1. This is historically bad. If he had achieved this ratio for an entire season it would be the worst of any OL in the last 7 years.

His pass blocking ratio did not fall off as badly as his run blocking ratio, but the diminution was still pretty bad. Prior to FSU, it was 9.4:1. Again, pretty good, second to only Flowers at 16.7:1. From the FSU game on, it was 6.7:1 which is a mediocre number.

Probably more revealing was his key block numbers. His good key block to bad key block margin prior to the FSU game was +29 second on the team to Feliciano, +38. From FSU onward his margin was 0, by far the worst on the team.

The only explanation for this sudden and drastic drop in performance would be that he was playing with an injury that greatly inhibited him, but I have heard nothing in this regard.

Normally, I put little stock in the movements in the Spring depth charts, but given Isidora's decline in the last part of the 2014 season, when he was demoted to second string, it made me wonder.

I was concentrating on the DTs during the Spring scrimmage, but when Isidora was playing OG, I also was aware of him. I thought he did nothing noteworthy.

Isidora is the only OL on the roster with extensive playing experience. We need Isidora to return, at the very least, to his pre FSU form. If he remains at his post UNC form the domino effect on the OL will be severe. With Gadbois suspended for 6 games and Isidora in the crapper, the OL could be a disaster. If the OL is a disaster, we will struggle to win 6 games.
