The Trump Campaign: where from here?

* The former campaign head (Brad Parscale) was arrested in Florida this week. His wife called police reporting that he was physically abusing her and threatening to kill himself. Dramatic TV footage shows the shirtless and agitated Parscale outside of his home. He ultimately was tackled by the police, subdued and handcuffed. Yikes.

* Reports this morning say that Trump is furious with Chief of Staff Mark Meadows for telling reporters that Trump’s health is much more precarious than previously reported by the White House and its doctors.

Where does the campaign go from here? 3 million votes have already been cast. The VP debate is on Wednesday and is undoubtedly more important now that Trump is ill.

If you were leading the Trump campaign, what would you do now?

If I were hun I would encourage his voters to just show up at polls. Game over. Cali is loaded, NY is pissed, Miami is pissed! Everyone is sick of the bullsh-t! There has been a swell of support from moderate Dems for Trump. People who voted for Obama and now do not recognize what the democrat party have become! How much farther left will you guys continue to slide?

the answer: as much as Soros demands! This is why you’ll lose the election.

Yes, Dr. Atlas has a very strong academic medicine background. No disputing that. But, his field has absolutely nothing to do with infectious diseases. That’s my point. He’s no dummy. He’s just from a totally different area of expertise than his current WH assignment.

Thanks Cash. You’re the first Trump supporter on here to articulate an election strategy over the next 30 days. Voter turnout! Trump supporters are loyal. If they turn our in huge numbers, Biden might lose.

I’ll concede also that pro Biden voters want Trump out more than they love Biden. That’s my stance. If Biden supporters don’t vote, Trump wins.

The Fake part is how you and the left wing smear machine Besmirch and smear two brilliant highly respected Drs. They are extremely qualified. There is a constant left wing attack to try and smear these good men and Great brilliant doctors. Are you really that naive ??

There is zero enthusiasm for Biden. Voter turnout might be slightly more than Hillary because of all the deranged Trump Haters. Dems ain’t showing up and a lot of them won’t bother to mail in. Especially if they’ve never mailed in before. I think you all are in for a big let down.

I do, however, admire your loyalty to Trump and underlying confidence in his re-election.

The scenario I describe is not loony at all. I don’t know how old you are, Ed. But, I personally saw this exact scenario play out when Nixon resigned.

To avoid impeachment for his Watergate scandals, Nixon voluntarily resigned the presidency, the first and only president to do so. VP Gerald Ford was sworn in. Ford then pardoned Nixon of all transgressions in order to move on and save the country from further legal and political pain.

This pardon exempted Nixon from prosecution and other legal problems. He never went to jail or suffered civil penalties. In contrast, his top deputies (Haldeman and Ehrlichman) served time. No pardon for them.

Trump needs a presidential pardon to protect his finances after he leaves office. He can only get it if he resigns.

Ed, Are you old enough to remember Nixon’s pardon?

It’s totally loony and a complete conspiracy theory. You have zero evidence Trump has ever broken any law whatsoever. Quite the contrary the fact that the 21/2 year muelller probe couldn’t find squat on Trump proves the guy is as clean as the come. And if the IRS is weaponized once again as it was against hundreds of conservative small businesses the Dems will pay a political Price unlike the country has ever seen. Also if the Dems go after Trump once he’s out of office you will see a political revolution and uprising.

Sorry, let me be more clear. I don’t think Trump will be prosecuted for Russian collusion charges. Mueller said “no collusion” and I accept that.

Post office, Trump will be prosecuted and sued in civil courts for his business transgressions committed throughout his career. His tax situation is a leading candidate. Fraud? I don’t know but prosecutors will be interested. Tax evasion? No question. Fraudulent charitable foundation? A layup. There will be many more.
