This bill will add about 2 trillion dollars to the national debt that the same people spent the last 8 years crying was unacceptable.

The base comes here and makes it the core source of their argument every day.

This Tax Bill comes out and magically it is no longer a concern. Moreover, this tax bill does nothing for working families, the poor or middle class. Yet, now that is no longer a concern?

IT's no wonder this administration can't get any meaningful legislation passed.

The OP is another example of stupidity. The tax reform bill would add to the national debt only if the average GDP produced by that incompetent piece of garbage Hussein Obummer and his administration is the standard. With an annual GDP of only 2.6 it's cost neutral, we are on pace for above 3.0 which only that incompetent communist buffoon failed to achieve in any year of his presidency. No president in the post world war 2 era had ever failed to achieve a 3.0 GDP in a single year of his tenure.

It's a break for the middle class and the poor, you moron. When corporations hire more people due to the tax reform that benefits the middle class and the poor, you idiot.

That is all true.

However, I might argue, that it might not be true if those same poor people don’t want jobs because they make more money being jobless.

What say you?

I say assuming what you say is true which I don't believe you have to be jobless to be poor, what does that have to do with the basis of the argument? Are you saying that makes this okay? How does this explain they hypocrisy to the middle class?

As you know, he’s saying many who don’t work make more on welfare than they do working so what’s the point of working! It’s a system that many unfortunately have mastered. This is a huge issue that has cost our society many people that could have florished had they applied themselves. It’s a crutch that to many use.

This has nothing to do with what I posted here. You are saying you care about the debt in one breath when poor people are benefiting and then turning around and saying there is no problem when wealthy people are benefiting. Its a classic strawman argument.

If that’s the case then you didn’t understand what you were responding to, and as usual you were responding just for the sake of responding.
The question wasn't directed to you. It was directed to the person that addressed me. It isn't okay for rich people to benefit but poor people not to if you are running up debt. It's hypocritical.

Well since we’re on a board it’s open for anyone to reply, also the poor have caused a debt and you haven’t complained. And where do you think the money for all these socialist programs come from? The poor?

I didn't complain then and I am not complaining now about the debt. What I am complaining about is your hypocrisy. You complain when some poor people need a ladder but you don't when some rich people take my money. Yes, my money. I pay taxes. I am not poor. I am middle class. You aren't qualified for the discussion. There is no having it both ways. You are either concerned about the debt or you are not concerned. There is no...I'm only concerned when poor people add to it. Not concerned if rich people do. That's being a hypocrite.

You were bitching above about adding to the debt!! And AGAIN, as I pointed out earlier it’s not a “ladder” for all, many use as a lifetime crutch and handcuff themselves and their true abilities as I pointed out. I didn’t complain either way, so I have no clue why your crying I’m a hypocrite. You just preach to preach and have zero idea what your talking about. You get on you high horse and try to act important. Debts in Govt are irrelevant and don’t phase me, they come and go as we’ve seen in the past. It’s pure political rhetoric to cloud the voters judgement. And again I wasn’t the one crying. And talk about a hypocrite, you beat down “rich people” the very people who fund all your favorite programs. You should thank them!

I’m confused... what about the bill adds $2 trillion? I thought it was a simplification of the tax codes. I know I’ll be dropping a tax bracket which will actually save me a nice chunk every pay check.

Are there attachments to the bills that have nothing to do with the tax code?

He’s crying just to cry. Only thing low income will lose is subsidy Govt paid directly to the Insurance Companies. People didn’t benefit directly from it. And this article is totally slanted. Typical MSN story. FAKE NEWS

It's common sense. An excellent guideline to use is to look at all our taxes in terms of our revenue. It could be local, state or federal. The tax cut is the money that is not part of the revenue we expect adds to our countries debt in this tax plan. Because we lose the ability to pay. Every expert confirms that. Well, there is a notion that well why should X group of people pay more money than Y group of people. However the fact of the matter is our countries bills have to be paid and where the money comes from is not relevant to our creditors. It is only relevant to people who are paying. People claim to love the country yet the problem is they love what the country can do for them. Not the country.

All our debt would be is what our country owes and if we cut taxes we not only can't pay what we owe, we will owe more money on top of that. So, you can't complain about our debt in one breath as a dem sits in office and then want tax cuts when a so called republican gets in. They are self defeating. It's like complaining about the schools and water and food but demand more tax cuts. The money doesn't appear out of thin air.

There is also the argument that hey wait a minute. All this money wealthy people are going to gain will trickle down to everyone. Then there is going to be more money to spend for the middle class and poor. This is trickle down economics. The only problem is that theory has been discredited many many times over. When wealthy people get money they invest that money in their own personal interest. Frankly, as they should. They don't spend it on lower economic classes. They re invest it or save it.

This leaves us with the debt.

If you objectively look at the cycles you will see that no political party runs up our national debt more than the republican party. NONE! Oh, and by the way I never complained about this fact. What I complain about is the fact that republicans are so concerned about the debt when dems add to it but it never bothers them when they do it. You can't have it both ways.

It took me exactly 2 paragraphs to find fault in your statement. First and foremost commonsense only works if it’s correct. Every years taxable projection is just that, a projection. What they don’t account for is more money in the pockets of middle class America means more spending which in turn creates more jobs, which in turn creates more taxes.

Lmao $2 trillion deficit eh? The Stock Market has also already added $5.5 Trillion in value to the market. Obviously not a very penny of that will go back into US infrastructure but a percentage will. Another big boost to the US economy!

You can knock Trump on a lot of things but this robust economy he’s building isn’t one of them.

First paragraph, all BS. And the “love what thier country can do for them” shouldn’t include the people who pay the most taxes. Should be directed at the people living of the Govt nipple thier entire lives! If they loved thier country so much they’d get a job and add to society not take!
Second paragraph: makes zero sense! And Dems are the only ones who talk about the Debt. It’s a variable number that changes with about a zillion factors. All noise as usual.
Third paragraph: trickle down worked during Reagan years, Bush cuts were during a time when monies where used for saving not spending. It changes with like anything else in life. What the demand at the time is.
And the last paragraph again is more BS, Obama with a smile on his face started the Universal health Care act he named after himself knowing it would saddle this country with generations of debt. Also Republicans being generally business people understand that the national debt is a talking point and at the end of the day it’s important yet not critical. Your entire post is just noise, nothing makes sense. It all comes down to the fact that you want successful people to be punished and pay for unsuccessful people.

I don't think you understand. The stock market is not related to how we pay our bills. Your premise is flawed. Here is why. What's the difference between poor people getting a handout and having more money to spend and everyone else? NOT MUCH HUH?Except it is actually better when poor people get handouts because we know they are going to spend it on goods and services. People with money don't necessarily spend it.

Your trickle down economics theory has been disproven a million times by the way. Rich people getting money means absolutely nothing for everyone. Including sending your job overseas to save money. Trump gets his clothes from Mexico...lol. He doesn't give a rats ass about anything trickling down. People that work on his property aren't even legal.

He just upset that the gravy train is grinding to a halt. So pathetic.

Teach a person to fish...feed them for a life time.

Or...give the person a fish and feed them for a day.

Oh...by the way...I was watching college football on Saturday and there was a girl going to college to be a social worker because she was able to help the poor by growing food and giving it to the poor. I say...social worker major should not be an option. It does NOT teach anyone a skill that translates to helping people learn how to catch fish!

I would much prefer...train that same girl to teach people who don’t have jobs a trade and let them be an apprentice as an electrician, plumber, carpet layer, on and on!

What say you?

Rhetoric and lies, zero truth to any statement above!! Also I’ll let you in on a secret, we all get our shirts from Mexico since your boy Clinton sold out the blue collar jobs to Mexico in NAFTA!! Which is another terrinle deal the Democrats wrote.

You are in denial. You don't understand basic economics. It makes absolutely no difference if you are a small business owner. I am too. So what? WTH does that have to do with what I am saying? Trickle down economics does not work and it has been proven many times over.

Above is an actual article with data showing trickle down economics works!! Period end of story. Even stats it stopped the ‘80 recession!! So no clue why you’d lie about a proven fact!! This truth has data, history and facts to refute your claim. Pointless to lie, makes you look worse than you already do!!

Beautiful post. Now I want you to actually click on it and read it. Remember one thing. I am about as sharp as you will ever come across in your lifetime.

Read your own article before you post it because you can get embarrassed in a hurry. I'm not exactly sure why you posted this with the swagger of the 87" canes....but even if you read your own title it says:

"Why Trickle Down Economic Works in Theory But Not in Fact". It doesn't work in fact. Smart people understand this and it took them 5 minutes to.

Please don't try to debate this with me. It will only get worse.

First off, no your not sharp at all. What you do is lie and conflate issues and over emphasize yourself. It’s common with people who have low self esteem.
And obviously you didn’t read the entire article! As it states it worked in the 80’s and minimized the recession. Boom!

So play tough and smart with your Radio Shack friends because this guy only deals with non bullshitters and people so smart they don’t need to advertise like yourself. Sad you need to try and make people think your smart. Just be and people will see.

You need to learn how to read because that is what identifies your come back to this site as well. Learn to comprehend what you are reading and then come back.....clearly you do not comprehend what you read. What you did was spend so much time trying to substantiate your false claim you got desperate.

You saw this article and figured it had Reagan in it and referenced trickle down economics but what you are interpreting isn't what you think it is. Reagan...as this article substantiates created more debt than anyone by percentage. That isn't trickle down. The article clearly points that out. He in fact is the most over rated president of our generation as a result. He spent a shit load of money and that helped our economy. Not his tax cuts and trickle down bull crap. The federal debt tripled. Read your own article.

Also, remember. You won't meet anyone sharper in your lifetime.

The right wing rabble on this post, most of whom can't even afford a Hurricane Club donation, will not benefit from this putrid Bill. But too dumb to realize it benefits only the ultra rich which none of them are. No, I don't mean those that earn $100K. But those that earn 7 figures and above which I'm confident none of these nitwits earn.
