I’m over Trump bro. Voted for him twice. Was good while it lasted but that ship has sailed. I’ve moved on. Totally get why his fans are still loyal but I have no idea why liberals talk about him when they hate him so much. TDS. I like Trump's policies, but I think he has too much personal baggage. I prefer DeSantis or Pompeo who have none.

Agree! But the trick is going to be to have the party get behind the right candidate. I'll take DeSantis, there are other good options. But my fear is the Republican establishment try's push Nikki Haley or some old Senator on us. Trump needs to be on board to pass the baton and campaign for the nominee. However he also has to make it about the nominee and the country. Not about Trump and his old grudges. Can DJT do this? .

The trouble with preferring others run is that Trump is going to hold a potential run over the GOP’s head which will snuff out all the political oxygen of all the others for them to gain any meaningful traction . I think if I remember correctly, Trump had very little political credibility and eventually won. Pompeo has a shot. DeSantis j than Trump could get the nomination. Scott and Cotton along with Nikki Haley are an outside possibility. I don't see Cruz at all. Long way to go, someone else could emerge.

Pompeo isn't the deceptive marketing genius that Trump is. He's basically little more than a tea party congressman who won the lottery when Trump needed a yes man CIA Director, which then got him the SecState job. As a standalone politician, there isn't much meat on the bone in terms of marketability or what he stands for. DeSantis is significantly ahead of him in most departments. Cruz, despite being an obvious moron, does have pretty good political instincts and is the best pure debater among Republicans, which means he will be in the mix if he runs.
