About a week or so back I had said that I really do like Yearby but wonder what Walton's stats would be if he was getting majority of the carries and said he would probably be right behind Cook STAT wise (this was after week 1). Even with Walton sharing carries with Yearby, Walton has out rushed Cook and it is not even close! Cook has 50 carries for 228 yards & 2TD's and Walton has 48 carries for 401 yards & 7 TD's. Yearby has also out rushed Cook this year with 35 carries for 256 yards & 4TD's. Yes I am fully aware that we have played 3 easy teams while f$u has played Ole Miss which has the a rush defense ranked #115 and Lville which has a run defense ranked #39. Cook last year would have put up the stats he has for this full year usually just in a single game... I have read that Cook has been bothered by a hamstring and some other minor injuries but it is not like Cook went up against 2 top rushing defenses and put up these kind of numbers. F$u is looking very beatable this year with a run defense that is ranked #97 & a pass defense that is ranked #76. We should do what we have been doing which is pounding the rock, get them to load the box, and boom play-action down the field. I guess we will see if we can impose our run attack against the #87 rush defense of GT next week. GT didn't look good at all last night and as long as our defense plays with discipline and each person sticks with their man than GT's offense will go no where. It will also be interesting to see how F$U does this weekend against USF, I'm sure all of our players, coaches, and staff will be watching since GT already played last night. But things in Miami are really starting to look bright and at the start of the season when the bar was set a 9 wins, I'm thinking more along 10+ in the regular season! If we only had a schedule where instead of playing GT, f$u, UNC,ND and Pitt all in a row and had something more like GT, F$u, Duke, UVA, & ND and moved unc to a later date on the schedule. Can't wait for this bye week to be over so I can get my Hurricane fix! This is just my simple opinion of what is going on, if you agree with it great, if you don't that's fine too. Either way I'm drinking the Hurricane cool aid for now lol
