Florida is a top 10 preseason team for a reason. They returned a 3 year starter, have a good to very good defense. Dan Mullen, whether you like it or not, is a very good coach - the man took Miss State to #1 in the country. The line was 7 to 7.5 and we lost by 4 with a chance, or several, to win by 7+.
There’s lots of good and bad to come from Game 1 but the key takeaway is that’s our hardest opponent until a possible ACCCG vs Clemson.
Jarren will get better. Enos will call better games. Baker/Diaz won’t miss a beat on defense.
The only problems I see are OL and the mental mistakes (penalties, fumbles, drop passes). And you know what, if a kid doesn’t have it mentally then on to the next one.
So, everyone chill and relax. UNC in two weeks and we start the march to Charlotte. Stop freaking out because a 19 year old with zero college QB experience isn’t a Heisman candidate after game 1.
